Also beat a very weak no skill having mayorga, a smaller vargas. Delahoya in my opinion is the most overrated boxer in boxing history! His biggest success is bringing in money not being one of the best fighters of all time.
Julio Cesar Chavez was 34 when he fought De La Hoya and De La Hoya was like 22 or 23.. Thats like your boy Fraud Mayweather fighting De La Hoya now... Theres no difference other then the fact that Chavez got TKO'd.
Oscar had no business fighting Hopkins.. Hopkins can make Light Heavy if he wanted to.. But he put up a fight.
And then the Last Shane fight was contreversial and the Tito fight was too so I don't see why your talking.
Even if you take away the wins that should have been losses his record is better then Floyds.

Oscar De La Hoya was never a favorite of mine, I rooted for Tito ALL THE WAY! But no matter how much anyone tries and discredit De La Hoya....
DLH will be a first ballot into The International Boxing Hall of Fame. Doubt highly "ANYONE" will ever top his drawing power...and "mula" made over the coarse. You may think he's overrated, and envy DLH to death, but being the "ONLY" member of the 1992 U.S. Olympic Boxing Team to bring home the Gold Medal is a remarkable feat. before you say "ANYONE" is overrated.....
ask yourself....
How many Olympic Gold Medals do "I" have???
