What a pile of bull**** ,,, his best condition ever was against Castillo so Hatton says himself ,, he stepped into the ring that night weighing 149 ,,, Floyd stepped into the ring with Oscar weighing 148 ,,,,, all this crap about a jnr welter vs a welter is a crock of horse **** ,,,, these 2 are both jr welters fighting each other and only the paperwork says it will 147 or under ,,,, the only difference in this fight is Hatton wont have to dry out the night before , Floyd could have weighed in at 140 with Oscar if he had of dryed out .

Weight has no bearing on this fight at all , they could sign to fight at middleweight and it dont change the fact they are the same size 149 -148 fighting weight .

If Hatton wants to beat Floyd he'll have to fight a rough fight, being heavier would be at his advantage for a fight like this, leaning and hugging the **** out of floyd. There's no way, no matter what weight Hatton comes in at, he'll be any where near Floyds speed. I hope the Hatton camp aren't ****** enough to believe their own bull ****.

Honestly he won't be faster than Floyd being lighter. So I say it would be better to weigh more than Floyd. You can't beat him at the speed game. But atleast you can ensure yourself the size advantage.

I think team Hatton is right on the money. If you want to try to bully/roughghouse/work on the inside Floyd, you have to be at least close to him to do it.

You need to be as fast as you can, throw a lot of punches and do it for 12 rounds, Floyd proved time and again that a few big punches just dont work with him.

If you remember 24/7 thats what Roach was training DLH for. Roach said he wanted DLH to rough up and get physcial with PBF. The bad thing for DLH was that wasn't his style. Hatton style is naturally rough house and it will be more effective for him than it was for DLH.

              yep I remember.

two things kept oscar in the fight: jab and speed.

Hatton is naturally more inclined to the inside/rough up/physical fight part. I am wondering about the jab part.

EDIT: Hatton has also 10x better stamina than Oscar, thing is Floyd's stamina is out of this world

I so look forward to this one, I might go to LV, if I am still livin in US by then.

MAYWEATHER IS NOT A SUPERMAN. There are guys who can beat Floyd.

But there is nothing that a fighter of Hatton's caliber can do to beat Mayweather. Hatton can be in the best shape of his life. He will still take a vicious beating.

dios please dont drag every topic on this into an opinion based bash fest. Mayweather is the favorite but Hatton is a very capable boxer. When comparing Hatton to one of Mayweathers previous oppononents Lots of people are drawing comparisons to Gatti but he is much more like Chavez except larger stronger more relentlous. Hatton has a very good chance of beating Floyd but he has to fight a near perfect fight or hurt Floyd early. Floyd just needs to be Floyd except he should definitely stay off the ropes and not let this guy wing punches to his midsection like he did with DLH. DLH is not a good body puncher, never has been all he did was wear himself out with most of the body punches he threw at Floyd. Im sure Floyd knew he would try this and was hoping he would wear himself down as he usually does. Hatton wont wear down, I hope Floyds camp is accounting for this.

A fighter feels out his opponent and then makes adjustments , Floyd is one of the best fighters ever and making adjustments ,,, he will feel Rickys power while on the ropes and will do what he always does , keep the distance short to smother Ricky , roll his shoulder into the pocket and roll-slip off the punches and in between he will get about 6 inches of extra range and counter with very sharp accurate punches in the blink of an eye ,,, he will then slide along the ropes and into centre ring where he will box Hattons ears off untill he forced to the ropes again ,, and then do it all over again ,, Floyd dont get hit clean much at all he can take the power off of a shot with very precise suttle moves ,, Ricky will tire because he is physical and Floyd will turn his own force against himself like a judo expert ,, the last half of the fight will be a Floyd beat down .
