This is what i believed in my own head with Hatton and it seems Billy Graham can read my mind. Weight dont make you a better fighter. I hate it when people like PBF and RJJ showoff saying i was givin such and such weight and i still won, must make me the greatest in history.
Ive never bought the weight thing.

What baffles me is that people are now saying it doesn't matter what kind of preparation anyone puts in for a fight with Mayweather. Like he's some kind of superman.

History tells us even boxers rated the best in the world get beat. With Haton ther just might be a pasty looking kid from Manchester the best in the world. Changing of the guard.

left2body what i mean was that increasing your weight dont make you a better fighter, which is what Billy Graham is essientially saying. Putting that extra weight on Hatton was detrimental to his abililties.
Hatton fights best at 140. His engine is at its best at that weight. Any extra weight is detrimental. If PBF weighed any higher against DLH, it wouldnt have made him perform any better. He would have performed worse. Did i put it better this time, and is that any clearer?

OH, my bad misread then......sorry I'll delete the other post. I totally agree with you then in this instance against a fast fighter. However I think if Hatton stays at WW (may or maynot happen)........he should definitely put some time in training to add some good lean muscle so because those other WW's are big. If he does it right it can help him with the bigger guys like Margarito, Cotto or Clottey.

No worries, i didnt make it that clear first time and it was easy to misread, but yes i agree that against PBF being smaller might help Hatton because he needs the speed to follow PBF. And if he does stay at welterweight he should adjust to the weight division and grow into it against the likes of Cotto etc.

I don't care if Hatton was 120, Floyd is a million times faster.

PBF might be fasster, but if Hatton is going to be chasing PBF around the ring he needs to be in shape with a good engine which he is known for. If he is carrying extra weight like in the Collazo fight he would get tired.
