yea those would be some tough matches, i think he would get a close decision on B-Hop but i don't think he would beat a prime Roy

Good lookin SIN. A whole lot of people forget how bad Hagler was. At middle, he was the king. He would **** out B-hop's and eat a Roy Jones jr. for lunch.

        BULL

Hagler is my favorite fighter, but no MW "****s out b-hop" or "eats RJJ for lunch".

Not Hagler, not Monzon, not Greb.

The only middleweight right now I can see really being competitive with Hagler is Winky. I think Winky's skill and style would allow him to be competitive with most guys.

Hagler was a smaller MW b/c of the rules, but I would still pick him to outbox all the MWs out right now, or if he decided to fight more aggressively like he did versus Hearns and the latter rounds against the Beast, out-brawl them too.

i think hagler could maybe win a d over prime bhop, but if i bet i would bet on bhop and i dont think he could beat a prime roy. too much speed.

Jones was a little green and inexperienced @ 160. He was still improving as a fighter.

On the other hand, remember that Roy fought @ 160 in the day-before weigh-in era, was pretty big at the weight, and would have a size advantage on Hagler. Also, he was ridiculously fast, could crack, and his unorthodox style made him even harder to deal with.

I think Hagler might be better off being more aggressive like he was versus Hearns, perhaps even throwing caution to the wind, as opposed to how he usually fought, more of a patient boxer-puncher. It's a tough call, but it's hard for me to pick against Hagler, especially when he had so much experience by the time he peaked @ 160 as opposed to young Roy.

He was to strong for BHOP all that dirty little get under you skin **** that BHOP does Hagler would love it. Hagler would be very agressive against BHOP like was against Hearns. I don't think BHOP was strong enough to keep Hagler off of him and I don't BHOP was fast enough to keep away from Hagler with constant movement.

I can't really decide between Roy and Hagler but I think Hagler could have worn Roy down to where Roy's athleticism would have been brought down to a normal level and Roy would had to show a lot of actual boxing skills instead just beating people with his out of this world atleticism. This is where I think the fight would turn in favor of Hagler especially if it was a 15 round fight.

roy could box, just ask hopkins and toney, they couldnt even touch him, and they were faster than hagler...though hagler is all around better, but still, hagler would get counterpunched easy by jones in a hopkins-jones fashion....

hagler is great thou, i just pick roy because of style, plus roy could outwork hagler too...

imo hagler is the best mw behind monzon who in top of being great, had physicla advantages few mw's have....
