If it werent for the Torres scare, Cotto would have been where he is now a year ago. It has never been about the skills. He's had the skills for years.

So, I completely disagree from what the topic creator is saying, saying that it wasn't a good performance. No one has ever beat zabs ass like that.

For all those claiming it's to early for Cotto to facing Mosley, who then should he be fighting? How many more fights before he can face mosley?

I think Cotto is overdue for a Mosley type of fighter. What's good about this matchup is that Mosley doesn't try to outthink you or use his experience to outclass you. He just fights, and against a bigger man like Cotto, spells disaster for the "Sugar" man. Bigger, younger, stronger usually wins, especially if you only fight one way.

Mosely wont be a moving heavy bag come fight night. Dude can fight.

Errmmm...maybe maybe not. Torres was the 1st time Cotto showed how his chin works. I forget but there was some before...the Torres just sold me cuz I wasnt sure.

I think they brought him up too fast. He had the WBC @ 14-0. It was vacant and he didnt have to war for it. Point is...same thing happened to Vargas and Reid...both got worked too fast too quick. Reid was like around 14-0 before the Tito fight...that fight ended his career. Vargas...same thing...title @ 15-0 [fought a good Campas] and hes like 26 wins now and a shot fighter.

SSM is 5'10" 74" reach. Cotta is 5'6" w/67" reach.

              SSM is the bigger guy.

Trying to find my John Brown fight for comparison cuz they both fought him.

I see your always taking pics w/fighters and immersed in the art...strange post you got here iMo.

Maybe...boxrec is wrong alot. I read Cottos wrong..thought it said 5'6". I coulda sworn SSM is 5'10" from other sources.

Boxrec also says Williams is 6'1"...I've seen fights where they say hes 6'2"...Goosen said hes 6'4". I lean to 6'3". No way hes 6'1" w/82" reach. He had many inches of height over Margy whos 5'11". No way that was 2".

                    Anyway...6" reach is alot...thats 3" per arm.

I think this is the perfect time to fight Mosley. Hes coming off a great win, and if he applies enough pressure should be able to **** mosley up, but i love Shane and if we could get the same Shane who fought against Vargas twice and Callazo, then it should be an entertaining fight.
