Mayweather by UD. It's what he does. Hatton will try to press, but not able to find him. PBF will stay out of most of the clinches and pick off Hatton from the outside. Hatton looked pretty quick against Castillo or that may have been because Castillo doesn't have much left, but he's still not in PBF's league. Hatton has to come out strong because in the later rounds he might wear out and that's when Floyd will sweep the late rounds. What I can't wait for is the atmosphere of the crowd, it's going to be great.
Official - Hatton v Mayweather! who you got???

Why???It's a bit of both. I'm convinced that the only way to beat Mayweather is to make it into a rough fight. Everyone boxes with him for long periods of time and then comes a cropper. Hatton's default style when the chips are down is a rough and ready tough brawler. If Hatton has that as a gameplan and gets hurt he won't stop throwing punches like other fighters have, he'll throw more just because that's what he does.
At the same time Floyd is an incredible boxer, but I don't think he'll have his night against Hatton. I think he's going to lose this encounter, and I think it will be by decision. I can't see either guy knocking the other out.
I don't think that is true. Mayweather doesn't have the backing or the power to arrange a screw-job. GBP is the power behind this fight and they would rather see Hatton win to set up a fight with De La Hoya than see a victory for Floyd. If anyone would get screwed it would be Floyd. I also think that unbiased judges will be influenced by the 12,000 fans that Hatton brings along (that's my prediction for his attendance) who will erupt in a chorus of cheers every time Hatton lands a punch.
I think it's going to be a reasonably tight yet reasonably clear victory for Hatton (ie close in rounds but not in spirit).
And I would definitely see Floyd winning any rematch.
It seems that everyone tries that and the same thing happens everytime...
Floyd either has some trouble in the begining of the fight and wins the last 4/5 rounds, or Floyd wins the first 4/5 rounds and then has some difficulty. I think people need to read into the Delahoya fight more... You have to back Mayweather up with a jab, not a bull rush. Hatton will bull rush Floyd, and this is why he won't win the fight.

Mayweather's punch is being underrated by Ricky and all.
Ricky goes in about six or seven. There'll be double (or even triple because of how fast he'll have to be at closing the gap) impact with him coming in, and Mayweather now carries more muscle tissue than anybody Ricky has ever fought (with the exceptions of Thaxton and Urango - who couldn't get near him)Last edited by Orange Sneakers; 07-30-2007, 07:42 PM.Comment

How can you compare lacy and mayweather lacy's skill level is nowhere near floyds skill levelIm going with Hatton, since joining boxing scene i have learned the following
-When hatton was bad against collzao thats because he was ill
-When he Was bad against urango he was also ill
-Kostya Tzysu has beaten many legends and is the best 140 pounder of all time, even though he lost to vince phillips
-Hatton fights exactly like roberto duran
-Mayweather fights exactly like sugar ray leonard
-Therefore this fight will be the exact same outcome of Duran Leonard 1
-Hatton was underdog against Kostya tzysu and won, so he will do the same against mayweather
-Hatton will simply walk through mayweather's punches and land at will until mayweather quits or gets knocked out, it doesnt matter that better fighters have tried that and failed, this is ricky hatton, he's british things are different.
-All American black fighters fight like jeff lacy
-So this fight will be an exact re-run of calzaghe vs Lacy, with Hatton being Calzaghe in this case.

Lol that guy is an idiot...
Firstly Hatton fights nothing like Duran, and Mayweather fights nothing like SRL ( at 145, he did at 135...)
And even if they did have similar styles, you can't assume that the outcome would have been the same.
Lacy was the slugger, Joe C was the boxer...
Hatton is the slugger, Mayweather is the boxer...
