    You're smarter than that, TS.

TKOs do not = knocked out, FYI.
Yes, it does. A TKO IS a knock out.

So, Corrales didn't KO Castillo? Oscar didn't KO Vargas? Tszyu didn't knock out Judah?

Dude... don't let the hate blind you.

Thank for the compliment, but explain to me, why a TKO is not a different type of knockout,

Its not a Knockout = KO

Its a technical Knock out as in TKO

The ref or the fighters corner decides he cant go on anymore which is why the fights are stopped normally prior to the boxer in question getting knocked out.

        No?

I can't be bothered explaining it to you, it's such a fundamentally simple concept to understand. Try Google, I'm sure you'll find something on there.

Translation: you made a crazy statement, and now you're a bit too embarrassed to back off of it.

OK, I'll succumb to your juvenile taunts.

A KO is when the fighter fails to beat the count or the ref waives off the count when he thinks the fighter needs immediate medical attention. It's usually the result of the fighter being hit with severe force.

A TKO is when the ref stops the fight to protect a fighter from taking unnecessary punishment. It is usually applied when the fighter has little or no chance of winning the fight, is failing to protect himself or is being impaired from protecting himself by injury. This can be on the advice of the ringside doctor in the case of a serious cut or other injury, on the advice of the fighter's own corner or on the ref's judgement alone. A TKO is typically the result of an accumulation of punishment, not severe trauma.

Do you really need me to list out every average fighter who's held a belt?

                    I know...Gatti hadnt lost in 3 years.

@ Cletus...your very alone in your method of denial here. Your mincing words...

                    how about this definition:
KO & TKO both mean you've been knocked out of the fight early. Being awake or asleep matters not. 90% of KO's are when guys are awake and they cant make the count.

You think Morrison was sleeping or awake when Mercer gave him a Round 5 TKO? Most will agree that Morrison was KTFO...knocked the **** out...get it now?

but gatti was not shot when he fought floyd. gatti wasent even shot when he fought boldimer. he was out boxing boldimer until boldimer got gatti into slugging with him so i wouldnt say gatti was shot when floyd stopped him. he just looked like he was shot in that fight because there was nothing he could have done to beat floyd.
