Collazo pushed him to the ground with his hand on the back of Hatton's head, yes, I remember that.

As for the outcome of the fight, I genuinely believe it's too close to call. But what does hatton have to do to prove all the haters wrong? A lot of people have called Hatton a bum or a c class fighter, theres no doubt in my mind he'll prove these people wrong even if he gets beat but whats he got to do to earn respect?
PBF has made a career out of making fighters fight his fight and discouraging them, if Hatton makes it a brawl as he usually does, he has a very good shot. People will talk **** regardless, especially when it comes down to this two fighters, so who cares what ppl will say afterwards.

I respect Hatton for coming to the US and for fighting Mayweather. That still doesn't change the fact that he is the most overrated fighter of the last 25 years. His two biggest wins have come against Tszyu and Castillo. Kostya Tszyu was past his prime, coming off major surgeries, and had a handful of rounds of activity in the 2-3 years leading up to the Hatton fight. Castillo was shot from being involved in so many wars. You can tell a fighter is shot when he doesn't even have enough control over his body to make his best weight anymore. Castillo at 140 was the equivalent of Gatti at 147. Castillo had no business at 140 and his number 1 ranking in the division is a joke when you consider that he struggled with an unheralded prospect in his only other fight in the division...

Aside from those two fights, Hatton only fought journeymen early in his career and late in his career he has picked on the worst titleholders at 140 and 147. It is very clear that Maussa, Urango, and Collazo were considered the weakest titleholders when Hatton fought them and it is obviously the reason those opponents were chosen. His opponents have been handpicked since his first fight. Mayweather will be the first time he ever takes a risk in his entire career and he's only doing it for the payday...

Once again SIN you could accuse Floyd Mayweather of the exact same things.. Fighting the weakest belt holders and His Most impressive wins of late coming against OLD guys or guys with a few Losses already... Or looking for the Biggest PAY DAY..

That is what I find so Funny about about the Floyd and Hatton camps... everything they throw at each other is something the person they are defending is Guilty as hell of also..

The ONLY difference is Fighting style... On runs.. the Other Hugs...

Both have been spoon fed Opponenets who were there to lose to and nothing else.. Both have had trouble with Fighters they shouldn't have.. and Both camps keep using wins against Former P4P greats who were passed their primes and Inactive as Cornerstone Wins...

DO you guys just argue for the sake of arguing???

Hatton struggled with Luis "Lights Out" Collazo, was knocked down by Sugar Eamonn Magee, and was hurt by Smokin' Juan Urango.

Hatton has a very effective style against guys who are either smaller or of limited mobility. Floyd Joy Mayweather, Jr is neither of these things.

It is my belief that PBF can (and does) adjust in fights, and usually has a Plan B (and C). I have yet to see Richard Hatton fight in a style other than that brawling, one-punch-then-clutch, impose-your-strength-and-energy manner.

Everything that I've seen tells me that PBF is the more talented, stronger, more coordinated, better conditioned, more experienced fighter. I believe that PBF has the better chin because I saw Floyd gobble shots from the hard-hitters Zab and Oscar. By contrast, feather-dusting Collazo almost got Ricky out of there.

PBF stops Hatton around eight after Ricky has taken a thorough beating.

To answer your question: Ricky earns respect from me by seeing the final bell. If he were to win (however he does it), then I would have been extremely wrong, and RH would have earned my respect forever.

But I see a strong showing by Hatton as very unlikely. The odds will likely be 3:1 Mayweather. Even with all that British money. Ricky is not in Floyd's class, and I expect that this fight will be a crystal clear illustration of the vast gulf between their skills.
I take it you never seen the fight or even know of Magee outside of boxrec, Hatton was young and was caught coming forward and down he went but he wasn't hurt, you are gonna have your fair share of these moments if you fight like hatton does "like a man"

Mayweather has 3 lineal championships, as many as any other fighter in history. You don't win 3 by fighting weak competition. He is now fighting the lineal champion at 140 and he already beat the best fighter at 154. Comparing Mayweather's resume to Hatton's is ridiculous.
