What does Hatton have to do against Floyd to earn Americas respect

Some of the vitirol spat out on here about Hatton is pathetic but people are entitled to their opinion.
As for the outcome of the fight, I genuinely believe it's too close to call. But what does hatton have to do to prove all the haters wrong? A lot of people have called Hatton a bum or a c class fighter, theres no doubt in my mind he'll prove these people wrong even if he gets beat but whats he got to do to earn respect?

Just The fact that a " Talentless Hugging Blow up to 180 too scared to fight at 147" Loser Like Hatton is fighting The "P4P # 1 baby" should earn him some Respect... But it wont... Not with the Nuthuggers and haters of this site anyways..

I respect Hatton...especially for coming to America.
I don't believe he can beat Mayweather,in fact I am shocked the Hatton is excepting this fight.
Mayweather is bigger, faster, stronger, better jab and hits just as hard.

            An honest, objective viewpoint

Hatton is neither a bum nor a C-class fighter. Hatton is a B-class fighter who has feasted on a toasted Kostya Tszyu and an even more fried Castillo.

Hatton struggled with Luis "Lights Out" Collazo, was knocked down by Sugar Eamonn Magee, and was hurt by Smokin' Juan Urango.

Hatton has a very effective style against guys who are either smaller or of limited mobility. Floyd Joy Mayweather, Jr is neither of these things.

It is my belief that PBF can (and does) adjust in fights, and usually has a Plan B (and C). I have yet to see Richard Hatton fight in a style other than that brawling, one-punch-then-clutch, impose-your-strength-and-energy manner.

Everything that I've seen tells me that PBF is the more talented, stronger, more coordinated, better conditioned, more experienced fighter. I believe that PBF has the better chin because I saw Floyd gobble shots from the hard-hitters Zab and Oscar. By contrast, feather-dusting Collazo almost got Ricky out of there.

PBF stops Hatton around eight after Ricky has taken a thorough beating.

To answer your question: Ricky earns respect from me by seeing the final bell. If he were to win (however he does it), then I would have been extremely wrong, and RH would have earned my respect forever.

But I see a strong showing by Hatton as very unlikely. The odds will likely be 3:1 Mayweather. Even with all that British money. Ricky is not in Floyd's class, and I expect that this fight will be a crystal clear illustration of the vast gulf between their skills.
