I believe so strongly in Mayweather's inevitable dominance in this fight, that I'm going to do something that I RARELY do: I'm going to bet the favourite.
Listen. Ricky Hatton turned down the Mayweather fight at least three times. His dad even said that they weren't ready before. What has changed? Has Ricky become a more complete fighter? No. Has Mayweather deteriorated? No. In fact, PBF is now a bigger and stronger fighter than he was when he offered RH those fights. The advantage that Hatton perhaps DID have has evaporated as PBF grew to fight bigger men.
It is smart of Rick to take this fight because he has nothing to lose. He won't be favoured to win. It's all upside for him. He will make a pretty pence, and his fans won't alienate him after the (eventual) loss.
I wish I had more Forum points to make bets.Comment

Open your eyes, Rick.
I have nothing against Ricky Hatton.
The only thing that IRKS me is that he believes that he has "an exciting style". The dude is delusional on that front. Ricky, those are ONLY the UK fans from across the pond cheering. You have made ZERO in-roads with the American public.
And it's not because you are British. Americans took to Naz and Lennox. It's because your John Ruiz-lite style fails to impress.
His criticism of how Mayweather fought Baldomir and Delahoya is insane. Hatton couldn't beat those guys, and if he stood in front of them, he would get ****-hammered. PBF fought smart, stick-n-move fights. When PBF was fighting guys near his own size, Floyd was an entertaining fighter who was going for the knockout.Comment
