              1. Ricky Hatton (WBA/IBF Junior Welterweight Champion, 40-0). There will likely be no controversy in giving Hatton the top spot. The Englishman was fighter of the year in 2005 in most circles for his demolition of longtime 140 pound kingpin Kostya Tszyu and his follow-up knockout of IBF champ Carlos Maussa. In May, Hatton will fight in the U.S., most likely on HBO, against WBC welterweight champ Carlos Baldomir. This will not only give him some much needed publicity among casual American sports fans, it will allow him to earn a title in his second weight division. Hatton has trouble making the 140 pound limit so he will likely be stronger at welterweight (147). A superfight with the man most experts think is the best pound-for-pound fighter in boxing - Floyd Mayweather - looms if Ricky gets by Baldomir.

Hatton weighed in at 150 on fight night vs castillo. Which is more than Mayweather and Judah have weighed for their past three welterweight fights.

                      Check the facts.
