There is NO WAY that Guinness has 1000 calories in a pint. It's not Crisco.

Guinness - like most beers/ales - has about 250 calories per pint. About the same as whole milk or orange juice.

    Don't get crazy.

I exercise /train alot. My "cheat treat" is beer. I wouldn't do it if it had 1000 calories.

The average adult male should consume about 2500-3000 calories per day. If you had a pint of Guinness with dinner, you would gain a pound a day or 30 lbs a month. So , clearly, the brown can't be 1000 calories.

I think a Big Mac is 600-ish calories.

No I never said that Guinness has 1000 calories a pint, I ignored that as a bizarre overstatement. I was surprised that anyone would consider 6-8 pints to be some sort of legendary amount. I'm pretty sure that off-training Hatton could outdrink me with little trouble, and I'm 6' tall and 190lbs in my knickers, and I could drink 6-8 pints fairly easily.

Emp -without the childish insults - what advantages do you think Hatton brings into a Mayweather fight?
I can answer that: Hatton is a natural swarming brawler. I think he can neutralize Mayweather's uncanny countering ability by throwing a lot of punches and can thereby overwhelm Floyd and begin to wear him down. I think that Floyd was unbeatable at Super Featherweight and at Lightweight, but since he hit 140 lbs he has slowed slightly and is susceptible to being overwhelmed.

The trouble is that since moving to 140+ he has generally fought guys who don't throw that much, who default as boxers and not as volume punchers. Floyd is so good a boxer that he can put the cleverest opponent off their gameplan with counters, and when a boxer is put off his plan he always falls back on his natural style. The best guy Floyd has faced since moving above 10st is De La Hoya without a doubt. De La Hoya did an able impersonation of a volume puncher, but eventually was put off his plan and resorted to boxer-puncher Oscar. Boxing is Floyd's domain and he rules it.

Hatton can box, we've seen that. He can punch too, he's had some one-punch finishes. But when he's exhausted and hurt and he's put off his game like he was against Collazo he defaults to throwing a lot of punches and relies on heart and toughness to pull out the win.

Mayweather looks the least comfortable when he's being pressured and swarmed, when he can't potshot because every punch he throws he has four coming back at him. Hatton will begin roughing him up from the opening bell and if Ricky gets hurt he'll just get more and more rough and throw more and more punches.

That's why Hatton has a chance at beating Mayweather perhaps more than any other fighter currently active.

It's just my opinion but I stand by my feeling that the shape of the fight will be far closer to Mayweather vs Chavez than Mayweather vs Gatti.

PS Dios, I like your posts.

since ive been on these forums floyd fans have been screaming till there blue in the face for respect and recognision of a minority of posters. ricky hatton is undefeated in hes prime and the only person that i can remember that floyd is fighting who at this moment in time is considered by 95% of the boxing world a top level p4p fighter. are you that blind off hate towards ricky hatton or the badge on the front off hes passport that this is the fight to cement hes legacy.
also ricky does have a chance to win this fight stop predicting this easy victory because there is nothing to suggest this is going to be easy for both fighters styles makes fights.
floyd fans give ricky a chance even if deep down your predicting this easy fight because if it goes as planned you can ride the train off succes for all its worth
            1. Floyd has a legacy already, anything else just strengthens it
            2. Hatton is not on Floyd's level IMO but this won't be the Gatti fight except Hatton may get cut if Floyd wants to do damage
3.Calm down, your doing what a fan would do defend the boxer he likes as I do with Floyd
