Heart does win you fights. See Corrales - Castillo I, and tell me heart doesn't win you fights - watch Chico get up off the floor twice after nine or so rounds of hammering. See Micky Ward getting the **** beat out of him in the second fight of the Gatti trilogy, round four after being knocked down, demoralised and having been put on his knees and smacking his head on the corner, and then getting up to wave Gatti on.

Heart got Muhammed Ali up the hill when he knew he was past his best, heart keeps Evander Holyfield going at 40something, heart kept Mike Tyson going when he was shot.

Gatti at 140 or 147 would have murdered Hatton. Too much for Hatton. Watch Gatti cry when his trainer pulled him out of the Mayweather scrap. Too much heart.[/QUOTE]

Alright so its heart v heart. How about Hatton, earlier in his career after suffereing severe cuts, he was told in the corner that the referee will give him one more round or he will have to stop the fight. Hatton came out the next round like a madman and broke the guys ribs. Or how about the way Hatton fought hard against Tszyu and not crumbliing like so many others under the right hand of Tszyu? How about getting up of his arse for the first time in his career in the first round and outboxing his opponent to an comfortable UD. Better yet, how about the fact that he was supposedly 'in trouble' against Collazo, yet still met him punch for punch. Lets not forget the two cuts in the Maussa fight where he still won every single ****ing round.

      Impressed? Far from it.
Surely Floyd is a coward then for fighting such an unworthy opponent in Hatton?

How the hell can you compare him to Naseem Hamed? Hatton has achieved so much more than that heartless bastard.
I compare him only in the British press/media's adoration of a fighter we think can be 'the next big thing'.

Also, Hamed achieved loads more than Hatton, but got caught short, as will Hatton.

I give you your props, my friend. But Maussa was only average. Every fight Floyd fights he fights against a warrior or a world champion or an animal. Ricky don't. Look at his last few fights, all have been against old or average fighters.

I get to include Tszyu due to his performances and victories before the Hatton fight - De La Hoya has been on the slide for a while.
Do you not read my posts, but decide to respond anyway, or do you just choose to ignore certain parts?

                  Once again:

His prime years were notably from '97-'01. He looked pretty average against Judah for two rounds, until he caught Judah with that right hand. But I'd say that was his last "prime" fight. He looked even more average against Tackie and Leija.

Did you not see Oscar's beat down of Mayorga before the Mayweather fight? It was sensational. His only other loss was against Bernard Hopkins (a guy now fighting at 175, and just got done beating Tarver and Wright), and most people felt he actually won the second Mosley fight.
