Common sense says Hatton just ain't good enough. I'd love him to do it, but he can't Floyd's too quick, too savvy, lateral movements will throw Ricky. See Jesus Chavez and Angel Manfredy fights against Floyd, and also Gatti - Floyd fight to see where Ricky will trip up. Floyd's fought ten or more fighters like Ricky, and come up trumps. Age don't mean a thing either, Floyd's only a month or three older than Hitman.

Fair doos with that at least u want him to win
I still don't think Floyd has thought anyone with the desire to win as Ricky and Rickys also in his prime with more power and boxing skill than the likes of gatti etc

            Don't be a muppet.
Castillo (twice), Corrales, Chavez, and Judah all in their prime... come on now.

And how do you consider Baldomir "over the hill" when obviously this is the best he's ever been? Some boxers hit their prime at different ages, look at Tarver, Hopkins, Baldomir, etc. All hit their prime when they were in their 30's.

Then add to that, Oscar, Genero Hernandez, Carlos Hernandez and Goyo Vargas, and you can't even compare resumes.

why did someone say castillo-hatton was entertaining? that was god awful one of the worst looking fights ever. 24/7 hugging and it took 4 rounds to beat a shot out of a cannon castillo pathetic.

Don't mention Castillo, a man, like Corrales - although I'd stand in front of a flying bullet for him, should he still be with us - who had been in too many wars.

Look at Floyd's record - he fought the lot - see for yourself. Sorry, he fought the lot twice....

Another thing, don't call me a muppet unless you can back your lame argument up with a decent argument.

                  Ian

I just did back up my argument, you said Hatton hasn't fought prime fighters and i just pointed at some of the recent prime fighters he has faced. I'm not dis*****g the fact that Floyd has fought more 'prime' top quality opponents but don't dismiss Hatton's wins in the way you do, because i can do exactly the same to Mayweather's opponents.

Kostya was over the hill? The guy had knocked people out in his previous fights. He was the prime fighter according to everybody before the fight, the absolute favourite where Hatton didn't have a chance. An 'over the hill fighter' also doesn't fight hard for 11 rounds - he visibly slows down and loses his sharpness, something which was not evident in the Hatton performance.

I can't understand why an englishman would want Ricky Hatton to get beat of a gobby arrogant and overhyped American, especially as ricky is a credit to the whole country
That overhyped American also happens to be a great fighter.

Hatton won't see the final bell en route to a brutal beating.

Name 1 PRIME A-level fighter that Hatton has beaten.

I can name 4 with Mayweather.

                      Once again:

                      Castillo
                      Corrales
                      Chavez
                      Judah

Your turn. Name one, just one.
