a C fighter, which is what floyd called gatti, and which is how gatti fought against top opposition. i aint arguin that. i am sayin that u cant call him a scrub cuz he ALWAYS gave it his all, even when he was clearly outclassed, he never wanted to give up... i think that is worthy enough of not bein called a scrub, not HOF worthy, but worthy enough for respect, no?
But I'm still not sure that is enough to escape the label of scrubbery.Comment

But you can't be the seventh best guy in your weight class in your own era and go to the HoF. The Dominican God can't support that.Comment

IN
I ALWAYS rated Gatti a poor fighter, he would be the least talented/accomplished fighter in there.
but he deserves to be HoF for other reasons. Holy crap, Don King is in there, and we cant let go in a fighter based on his heart?Comment

jeremy bates is a scrub. you cant put gatti on the same level as jeremy bates.
gatti should get in based on contributions.Comment

all those fights in the 70s that we cream over....wanna guess who put those together?Comment

I'm not saying that that he is Reggie Strickland-esque.
But IN THE CONTEXT of the HoFers, Gatti exudes scrubbishness.
C fighter + 5 exciting fights = Hall of Fame? No sir. It does not.Last edited by DIOS DOMINICANO; 07-27-2007, 06:45 AM.Comment
