If Gatti were to be admitted, would this somehow marginalize the other fighters in the hall?...Comment
I agree, this is my point also. We all know that Gatti isn't a world class boxer but he did genarate alot of excitement and joy for boxing fans throughout his career. Shouldn't that count for something?..
It did. He got the FOTY awards.
Arturo has 4 FOTYs. If you are considering giving him a HoF spot for that, then give Micky Ward one for his THREE STRAIGHT. Nahmean?Comment

Gatti was a two weight champ and a continuous contender throughout his career, was known for exciting fights, has mass appeal, and hey, Barry McGuigan is in there, so why not Gatti?Comment

I will give you the Tracy Harris Patterson title win. I have ZERO respect for how he acquired that 140 titleComment

Dios, whether you like Gatti or not (you obviously do not), any rational person will admit that Gatti practically saved boxing in the late 90's and did more for the sport than anyone in his time (except maybe for what Floyd is doing now if he keeps fighting). Not everyone in the hall of fame has to have a flawless record and have beaten the best...There will never be another Arturo Gatti and in my opinion what he did for the sport is enough to get him in the hofComment

Branco was Tszyu #1 challenger. I remember it being mentioned after the Leija fight. He didnt wanna fight him so he was stripped of the WBC title thus creating the golden opprotunity between Gatti-Branco.Comment
