I like both Taylor and Pavlik, but the topic creator has been making ridiculous topics about how Pavlik is going to destroy Taylor. That I actually hope Taylor makes Pavlik look bad

I only worry that Taylor has trouble making 160. Pavlik isn't going to destroy Taylor. He looked bad against Spinks because of having to lose the weight and Spinks almost never came forward. Taylor looks best when he has someone willing to go toe-to-toe with him. Both guys can win but I doubt either gets destroyed.

There is no way Pavlik dominates Taylor. I have been one of the most vocal critics of Taylor since his first "win" over Hopkins, but this style of fight is perfect for him. I'm not guaranteeing a Taylor win, but Pavlik will in no way steamroll Taylor.

I know Team Taylor has been making noise about his problems making weight, but people forget that two years ago Team Pavlik said they were moving up to 168, so it's not like he makes that weight easily either (just look at his frame for crying out loud).

This is Taylor's only fight besides Ouma since the first Hopkins fight where he's going against a guy who doesn't have huge defensive prowess. Hopkins, Winky and Spinks are three of the best defenders in boxing. I cannot write off Taylor's performance vs. Ouma--which was underwhelming at best-- but he still landed alot of huge power shots and who's to say those won't hurt Pavlik more than they did Ouma?

Also, in the Hopkins fights, the only two fights where Taylor has been visibly hurt (and some would probably argue that), it was late in the fights after round after round of intense mind-games and physchological warfare. Against Pavlik, he won't have to think for one second about how to land, and that will help big time.

I am picking Taylor to win this fight but I do think it will be a close, intense, great fight. I can't wait.

Good point. No matter what anyone thinks, this is a tough, tough fight to pick and neither will dominate the other.
