If Floyd can be a Wright/Tarver like caliber opponent at 42 years of age then he has a chance.

42 years of age and STILL a contender (no breaks) is extremely impressive IMO.

Lol, I guess every fighter dominates a poll after a big fight.

Hopkins defended his belt 20 times with an OK resume.

However Hopkins last 2 wins against Tarver and Wright at the age of 42 is pretty damn impressive, so I can easily say we will never see another guy perform as good as Hopkins does at the age of 42.

I'm not going to give Hopkins this vote cause he's the best old fighter of all time, so my pick is Floyd.

This is pretty much what it comes down to but I disagree slightly - I think Hopkins' resume is better than Mayweathers.

Hopkins beat Joppy, Trinidad, ODH, Tarver and Wright, lost decision to Roy Jones jr/Taylor.
Floyd beat Corrales, Gatti, Castillo, Judah, ODH.

The one thing that will always hover around Floyd is the thought that he has ducked fighters, or he has not always seeked out the best fighters available to him at the time, something you really cant say about Hopkins.

The one thing Floyd does have though is that he's undefeated. And until he loses, it will be difficult to make an argument against Floyd.

Do people really think Floyd would'nt have defended the Super Featherweight title 30 times if he wanted to? Instead of sticking around and fighting guys like Carl Daniels and Hakkar, he moved up and fought the Lightweight Champion.

Hopkins made a career out of beating guys smaller than him. Mayweather made a career out of beating guys bigger than him. I give the edge to Mayweather...

I am right. He beat DLH while coming into the ring as a welterweight. A fighter his size really has no business above 140...

I always had a problem with Bernard and his weight. Seems to me like he feels confident fighting smaller opponents.
