Had to give it to Hopkins he has some big names under his belt. And to beat a top 5 pound for pound fighter after a year off and being 42 damn! That's really ****ing impressive.

        Hopkins

I like Floyd, but has has some business with Hatton, Cotto and Mosley in my view to be considered up there with Hopkins...

Floyd defened his belt 9 times at 130 with a very solid resume.

          Floyd 5 time champion at 130, 135, 140, 147 and 154.

Hopkins defended his belt 20 times with an OK resume.

However Hopkins last 2 wins against Tarver and Wright at the age of 42 is pretty damn impressive, so I can easily say we will never see another guy perform as good as Hopkins does at the age of 42.

I'm not going to give Hopkins this vote cause he's the best old fighter of all time, so my pick is Floyd.

for me its hopkins, he has great names and hall of fame fighters on his resume and defending his belt 20 times and being the undisputed champion at 160lbs for so long does it for me over PBF. the thing that sealed the deal for me was when he climbed 2 weight divisons, not 1.. but 2 WEIGHT DIVISIONS!!! and completely destroyed, embaressed and humiliated antonio tarver, who was then considered the top man at 175lbs. to do that is a major accomplishment.

perhaps if PBF fights and beats fighters like hatton, cotto, moseley, cintron, margorito and williams, then maybe when its all said and done, he might have the stronger legacy, but for now, hopkins takes this

              Floyd.
While Floyd is fighting top guys at weight classes above where he started, Hopkins is just now fighting guys at the weight class he started at.
There was so much talent and fights Hopkins could've went after back in the day, but he choose not to. His bad.

3 of his biggest wins are against guys smaller than him.

Are you forgetting that Hopkins is a natural Light-Heavyweight who drained himself for years to beat up guys naturally smaller than him...and on top of that call out guys who weren't even in the division (Welterweights & Junior Middleweights).

which is exactly what Antonio Margarito does. it doesn't make sense to rag on Margarito about it and not Hopkins. these are good points. Hopkins did his legacy the biggest favor when he beat Tarver at light heavy. If he goes on to beat some decent heavyweights, he'll be ahead of Mayweather to me. until then, no.
