    Best Defense In Boxing?

We always talk mostly about Winky vs Floyd but I always put Hopkins above Winky. How do you guys stand now and who is better between Hopkins & Wright. Winky is good but he's far too one demesional for me to put him above Floyd or Hopkins. Also, Floyd & X hardly ever get hit clean and definatly not alot but Winky has had a few fights where he gets hit clean alot. Recently against Taylor & Soliman. I cant speak for the Hopkins fight because I didnt see that

I'd have to go for Mayweather, i've never seen a better pugilist with the defense he has.

Winky's gloves are ****ing larger than his head, but he's still got a good defense. It's like he made himself into armor without a kink after getting pounded in that one fight.

I know I didnt think of everyone but those are 5 guys right off the top. I couldve added guys like Paulie & Clottey but I think there a little down. Spinks is a great defensive guy but sometimes runs. Toney was great but is getting older and getting hit alot more. Alot of people will say that his D is the same as Floyds but the difference is thats all Toney can do while Floyd can change depending on the fight or during a fight.

to give credit to Toney, when he was in "his" weight classes, he was able to put up painful hurting while rolling and slipping. In the aggression department he is one notch about Floyd, and he can do it while defending.

I think that becase of the lack of falshiness and extreme effectiveness (**** he is 42) i am tempted to pick Hopkins.

Toney was ridiculously skilled and his defense (when in the proper weight class) was better than PBF's because of Toney's transition from offense to defense.

PBF has more drastic offense and defense modes. His best defense is just deflecting/dodging punches.

Toney would slip, counter right, slip roll-counter uppercut, shoulder roll-left hook.

His defense made guys pay more and his defense opened up his offense. PBF's defense is just that defense.

P.S. I would really really like to hear Scully's oppinion on this since many of the nominee's are middleweight-ish.

Bernard already has more votes than he did for the last poll.

Winky has many less than he did..

Sadly, we're still on this ****ing bull****, nonsense, crap that Floyd Mayweather has a better defense than Hopkins.

              What a ****ing joke.. :wank:

On the other hand (see my previous post, where I pretty much agree with you). DLT is right when he states that PBF has more ways to defend than Toney, (stick and move, slip&roll, hand up and block). But Toney was unparalleled at that type of D.
