I think you guys have lost your minds. Blown up welterweights?? So Trinidad couldnt carry 160?? HE IS THE ONLY MAN TO STOP TITO AND DLH. PERIOD END OF STORY. 20 Title defenses, he fought EVERYBODY in the division, never ducked anybody, took tough fights past 40 (Taylor, Tarver, Winky)...Get a life

toney is top dog, but when it comes to the nuts and bolts of things hopkins has a way better legacy.

toney's last few performances have been bad, although i thought he was robbed against peter in their first fight, he did lose the second without a doubt. but when you look at toney's mind set and discipline when it comes to boxing, it's nowhere near hopkins.

toney is lazy when it comes to training and conditioning, he let himself go physically. he's just a natural fighter and a gifted fighter and that is all he's been using these last few years. had toney keep the discipline to stay in shape and keep his body in condition toney would be top dog, but he doesn't.

toney really shot himself in the foot, now twice, with the steroid fiasco. not once but twice, then that makes you think how many times has he done it and gotten away with it????? who knows? doesn't matter at this point other then the fact that it has tainted toney's legacy and his image.

hopkins is the exact opposite of toney, he keeps in great physical shape, doesn't abuse his body, always maintains his conditioning, maintains great discipline, and looks good inside the ring and he's older.

if toney took care of his body and was more like hopkins this would be a tough topic to argue, but since toney has basically fallen off, hopkins in my estimate has a far better legacy. toney's career has been a roller coaster ride, hopkins has flown like the jetstream............

Hopkins has thebetter legacy. Toney ruined his career by moving to heavyweight, his last few fights have seriously damaged his status.

Tito was effective at Middleweight, thats why I think its still a good win for Hopkins, but to say he was anything special at Middleweight is just ******. Wright's destruction of him two years later just proves the fact. Wright's not even a big Middleweight...

And Oscar had no business fighting at Middleweight.

Light Out is the man! Former IBF Middleweight, super middle and cruiserweight champ of the world says it all. All those title fights were rippers! Toney in the early 90s and 2003 Jirov fights was an awesome fighter to watch. I loved his body to head shot combos on the inside then he'd follow up. BHop chooses oponents carefully like Jermain. Toney follows old school motto: "Anybody, Anytime, Anywhere". Sleepingtime, Perfecto, Lights Out!

Roy tested positive for Androstenediol which was a feature of the Over The Counter ripped fuel at one point in time. Roy admitted to using ripped fuel. He tested again, and came out clean negative.

Toney tested positive for Nandrolone (prescribed only anabolic steroid), admitted to using it......then said he was sorry. Tested again, and came out dirty positive.

I don't think you can compare the two.

Give me proof that he doesn't roid up other then typing out all that. For all I could know, you could be a rabid-fan trying to protect the legacy of his.
