The fight is a rumor, nothing official has happened yet. Also, Roy Jones is a LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT, and Floyd last fought at Junior Middleweight at 154. Not only this, but Floyd isn't a KO artist. Sure, Roy has a glass chin, but Floyd isn't a pressure fighter, nor does he have notable knockout power in both hands to KO Roy Jones in 3 rounds.

Get your facts straight before spewing out bull****.

This is exactly why i don't understand how some Roy fans aren't Floyd fans. We all know that Floyd fought tough competition at 130 and 135, but gets little credit for 140 and up. Lets break it down: DeMarcus Corley had just lost a VERY close SD to Zab Judah to lose his belt, Gatti's lone lose between DLH and Floyd was a MD to Ward, Mitchell's only 2 loses since 1994 were to Kostya Tszyu. Zab and Baldy were the last 2 undisputed WW champs and DLH is no bum. Thats not a bad list of opponents to have. Plus, these guys are definitely more well known than any list of fighters Roy fought that aren't named Tarver (not including guys from lower divisions)

Roys were all VERY convincing blowouts.. Floyd had a contraversial win to castillo, and some dominatiing fights... but still was troubled by some aswell.. Im just sticking to my vote of RJJ on this poll.. and its nice to see that some floyd fans on here can even admit it..

I go for Roy Jones. He fought an at the time unbeatable James Tony to the point that it lookked like a mismatch.
He beat Mike McCallum who i consider one of the best ever and most untalked about great boxers in the middleweight division.
He beat the legendary Bernard Hopkins with ony one hand good enough to fight with because he didn't want to postpone.

All that said i have great admiration for Floyd for moving through the weights and and going for the best every time.
Its not his fault that these guys dont have the stature of the great middleweights that Roy fought.

Floyd has a ways to go. Beating the faded, "I haven't won a fight in years" Oscar De La Hoya doesn't cut it. Floyd's body of work at 130-135 is extremely impressive. 140-147? Not so much. Floyd's a first ballot Hall of Famer but his two best wins are over Castillo and Corrales, certainly a couple steps behind Hops and Toney. And many would argue he split two against Castillo.

If we look at the poll ,This legacy thing has been clearly been dominated by Roy Jones, Like just about every one of these Floyd Vs Roy legacy polls shows
Roy socks Floyd up his grill and beats him down easy when it comes to legacy in boxing, The people are always voting Roy over Floyd, Floyd fans,.You guys have lost 3 straight polls about legacy to Roy.Zero for 3, The people acknowledge Roy as better, Clearly
