Both are two of the best fighters in the past 1/4 century without a doubt and there really is little reason to compare them although their careers are VERY similar. Both can be criticized for the same exact things which is why its always funny to see a Roy fan trash Floyd or vice versa. Both have fought top guys in their division early in their careers (Roy=Toney/ Nard; Floyd= Hernandez, Corrales, Castillo). They've both fought guys in their careers that were proven instead of giving some unproven up and comers shots (Roy= Paz, Hill, McCallum, Woods; Floyd= C. Hernandez, Vargas, Chavez, Gatti). And they've both fought the guys that people thought could give them a tough fight (Roy= Tarver, Johnson, Griffin; Floyd= N'Dou, Judah, Oscar). Plus, They're both criticized for avoiding guys from overseas (****ing Brits...*kidding*). Overall, they are both extremely talented fighters who followed the career path that they needed to prove their greatness.

To answer the question, Floyd's record is better because you can't get better than perfection. Although, Roy didn't lose until he was a bit older.

Some people "think" Roy fought alot of nobodies.. but if you look at his resume and look at who lots of his oppononts beat you will see there were the top dawgs to fight at the time... in other words: "he just made em look like nobody".

A big part of if it is how dominating Roy was aswell.. Floyd doesnt compare in that sense..

This is not because Im a big Jones Jr fan.. Just stating the facts..

If you really research this, you will see floyd doesnt even compare..

I love how you used Roy's rap line from his crappy song to make your case. Don't take it the wrong way, I thought it was hilarious.

I don't exactly see where you're coming from on this. I agree that Roy was fighting the guys out there that were earning their shots and economically sensible, but how can you not say the same of Floyd? This is exactly why i don't understand how some Roy fans aren't Floyd fans. We all know that Floyd fought tough competition at 130 and 135, but gets little credit for 140 and up. Lets break it down: DeMarcus Corley had just lost a VERY close SD to Zab Judah to lose his belt, Gatti's lone lose between DLH and Floyd was a MD to Ward, Mitchell's only 2 loses since 1994 were to Kostya Tszyu. Zab and Baldy were the last 2 undisputed WW champs and DLH is no bum. Thats not a bad list of opponents to have. Plus, these guys are definitely more well known than any list of fighters Roy fought that aren't named Tarver (not including guys from lower divisions)

                    very close.

whoever thinks it is an easy pick is an idiot.

Floyd has way more good names, but Roy has two GREAT GREAT names, tough call.
