Both are two of the best fighters in the past 1/4 century without a doubt and there really is little reason to compare them although their careers are VERY similar. Both can be criticized for the same exact things which is why its always funny to see a Roy fan trash Floyd or vice versa. Both have fought top guys in their division early in their careers (Roy=Toney/ Nard; Floyd= Hernandez, Corrales, Castillo). They've both fought guys in their careers that were proven instead of giving some unproven up and comers shots (Roy= Paz, Hill, McCallum, Woods; Floyd= C. Hernandez, Vargas, Chavez, Gatti). And they've both fought the guys that people thought could give them a tough fight (Roy= Tarver, Johnson, Griffin; Floyd= N'Dou, Judah, Oscar). Plus, They're both criticized for avoiding guys from overseas (****ing Brits...*kidding*). Overall, they are both extremely talented fighters who followed the career path that they needed to prove their greatness.
To answer the question, Floyd's record is better because you can't get better than perfection. Although, Roy didn't lose until he was a bit older.
