Roy Jones Jr. vs Floyd Mayweather Jr.

No, I'm not talking about who'd win in a fight between the two. I'm talking records. Which of the two p4p guys do you think has the better record? For me it's a no brainer in picking Mayweather. I believe he faced tougher competition than Roy ever did and has twice as many standouts on his record than Roy. C'mon Roy fans, nows your chance to back Roy up when he needs it. And I'll save you all the trouble..............

    Y'ALL MUST'VE FORGOT!!!

I say jones, beating hopkins and a prime james toney eclipses anything that mayweather has accomplished.

Floyd has the great Hernandez, Castillo and Corrales in their primes, Judah and Oscar (coming off a **** hot win/performance over Mayorga), which is **** hot.

Roy has future WBA and WBC champs like Castro and Malinga, future HOF in Hopkins, reigning lb4lb king in Toney (regardless of whether Toney was in shape or not, Roy TOOK the fight and was prepared for Toney at his best), Griffin and Harding. Not bad.

Jones easily, Im not a Roy or Floyd fan at all, but Floyds wins in Hernandez and Judah are not against elite fighters, good fighters not elite,Corrales was very good but not elite as well, Oscar was a HOF but out of prime,

Roy Jones almost won every round against HOFamers, elite guys like a prime James Toney, Bernard Hopkins, A heavyweight champ in John Ruiz, hes beaten Antonio Tarver and hes good fighters like Vinny Pazienza, Montell Griffin(who beat Toney twice), Eric Harding and even KOd Clinton Woods

I can see your point but I have a few things I'd like to peacefully disagree with.....

1.) Jones did not win every round against Hopkins, it was a very close fight and most experts seem to agree with Roy taking the fight 7 rounds to 5 or 8 rounds to 4. As for Toney, his physical condition could be argued but I wouldn't bother with it because I think even on his best day Toney can't hold a candle to Roy.

2.) A win over a Heavyweight Champion when moving up in weight is a damn solid accomplishment and I'm not trying to undermind Roy but it was John Ruiz. We're not talking Joe Louis here.

3.) Everybody knows Tarver beat Jones all 3 times they fought. Jones got a gift decision against Tarver the first time out and everybody knew it, that's why they had to make a rematch. Even the crowd booed and chanted "bull****" when the "decision" was announced.

And Pazienza, Griffin, Harding and Woods are all good fighters but not great. I think we can all agree upon that.

                I want more votes!

Honestly though I'm talking quality of opposition here, not quantity.
