Williams is so unique and unorthodox, he would give anyone fits. He has his flaws (leaky defense, gets hit, doesn’t sit down on his punches), but he masks them very well with his style and volume of punches. I think he will be avoided by the other top guys at 147, not because they’re afraid of losing to him, but because of the difficult challenge he will present. It will be a grueling, taxing fight to beat him.
Agreed. His height and length present a problem for anybody. Plus he pretty athletic as well. It's a risky fight for anybody and I wouldn't be suprised if he didn't get a big fight for a while.

Pwill is the one guy I would pick to beat floyd... there's nobody else, i would take(shane, cotto, hatton, etc.) over floyd... but i dont think we'll ever see floyd fight Pwill...

People like to diss him, but this guy is for real, he's no bum. He lost a close fight to PWill and had he started a little sooner may have scored a draw or the win. He’s good for boxing too, he’s recently fought three relatively, young undefeated fighters(P Will, Cintron, Hercules) and two guys with just one loss. Floyd hasn’t fought another young, undefeated fighter in 7 years. So why hate on a guy, who’s fighting real competition, guys that can provide real challenges? 147 is boxing’s deepest division at the moment and Margo is in the top 10, if not top 5. He could have avoided PWill for a much bigger fight with Cotto, when was the last time a champion did that? So you gotta give him his props.
Margarito was a tilteholder who won his belt off an title eliminator and defended it against the lowest ranked WW of the top ten in the division. How does that make you a top guy in the divison, i don't know. And Im not even going to talk about his skills.

I guess that's a good point althought Clottey certainly would have beat him if he hadn't broken both his hands. Maybe they should rematch since they will both have trouble finding an opponent. I don't rank Cintron above Margarito. I do, however, rank Judah above Margarito. Judah may have 5 losses, but they are more respectable than Margarito's losses.

I disagree with this as well. He has some promise like that reach and volume of punches, but I also think that is his weakness. As soon as he faces a slick boxer with some hand speed you'll see what i mean. also like you said, he is open for shots everywhere all day. His body is open and his head is open with no real movement in his head although he does use the ring and his mobility. He has a lot to work on before he can cause real problems and he needs to increase his power in his jab.

These giants are also athletes, gifted with hand speed, reflexes, strength and crushing power. They would have made for difficult fights for Holmes, Ali, Louis and Patterson. Not saying they would have won, but it would not have been a cake walk to beat them. In addition to their size, they have unique styles that maximizes their natural advantages, using their height, reach and jab.

On the first I agree they would be competative but I don't think they win due to the fact they lost to much lesser opponents and the greats had others to compaire them to, these guys by no fault of their own, do not.

On the second I 100% agree with your assesment of Margarito, he's a fantastic fighter who, like I posted before the fight, should not have risked Williams. Not because I thought he would get KOed but because he's a slow starter and Williams stays busy and thats how he out pointed Margarito. Marg is still a beast IMO and will cause anyone in the top 3-5 major problems and I look for Cotto to use this loss as an excuse not to fight him unfortunatly.

                    Good post keep em coming.....
