It's a no-win situation for Mayweather, as always. He fights Hatton- They say that he's avoiding the top Welters. If he fights a top Welter- it's vice versa.

Floyd can "WIN" against the welters, but doubt he can "BEAT" Cintron, Williams, and Mosely. You know and I know his Uncle Rog would never let him brawl with Cotto. Floyd wins on points, he aint giving any beat downs at welters......want proof.....he's chasing Hatton.

          Yeah 6'2 or not.

Floyd would just whip Williams' 6'2 welterweight ass. No way he can avoid that looping right hand of Floyd's.........nobody can.

Oh and Floyd would just go to the body and get his gaurd down, and then throw the right hand over the top.

              avoiding the talent at 147?

by fighting the 140 king who stopped Zoo and JLC? (and mind its not like floyd is luring a naturally smaller man to fight him)

maybe he could fight a 3 years old who won his last title fight 4 years ago, who won his last title fight convincingly 6 years ago?

or maybe he should fight a fewbeltholders whose entire records combined cannot produce nothing equivalent to zoo and jlc?

and let me add once again Hatton is the opponent which will make for the most entertaining fight.

The smaller guy that is obviously not that good at 147? I hate to state the obvious here, but Floyd seems to be picking the easier fights always. Stand up flat footed guys who try to brawl that can be outboxed. Like Gatti,Baldomir, dlh (way past prime).. Now theres hatton, not to discredit him.. But he comes forward with weak defense and is an open target, floyd sees that as an easy UD or possible late stoppage, he is the bigger man after all.. So Im curious why he wouldnt want to fight all these big names in the welterweight division.. it would definetly get rid of any questions I have about who the best is. What is everyone's take on this?
Floyd's not avoiding the welters the hatton match up makes for a better fight right now and more money, i also believe that floyd can beat all the current top welters
