Because when we as fans watch the fight, we don't watch it as closely.

If you watch the fight like a judge would, then you'd realize that Margarito was parrying a lot of punches. Not enough people pay attention to that. Look at the punch stats, Williams only landed 22% of his punches.

I still had Williams winning 116-112, but the four rounds Margarito won were decisive.

22% of what though? Do not make it seem like he was slapping and running. Watch the fight, there is lots of snap on Margarito's neck. I am a firm believer if a fighter who is known for moving forward and attacking is not, it is because he is getting hit with something that prevent him from doing it.

I argue that only 2 rounds were clearly in Margarito's favor. A round is 3 mins, not a spurt or two.

If we took rounds and broke it down to a second a piece you will see that williams was the more active, more landing fighter.

Since we are talking about shots missing, how many shots did Margarito throw and miss or that landed but not cleanly?

You're in the minority in that you thought Floyd won that first fight. Also FYI I thought Williams clearly won 7 rounds to 5.
No he isn't, Mayweather clearly did not lose and at most for Castillo it should have been a draw, no one believes Mayweather actually lost, wtf, you think that he got beaten? Nuthuggers and haters annoy me seriously, it was a close fight that is open to opinion but you nuthuggers take it overboard with this unanimity in claiming positively that Floyd lost when in fact it was unanimous on the judges' part that Mayweather had actually won, not even a split decision. And according to the judges the second fight was actually closer(which I don't agree with, but hey). The point is that losers need to stop imposing their opinions as facts, Mayweather won that fight imo and won the rematch anyways so he got the best of Castillo either way you look at it, why is this fight still brought up? Mayweather beat him twice in his prime and today he is shot, get over it..

I had it 7 rounds to 5 for Williams as well and thought going into that last round that Margarito had a good shot of at least making it a draw and retaining his title. Williams started great and then in the end had some spotty rounds where Marg did his work. After the 11th I felt Marg had all the momentum because he landed some flush shots and stopped Williams in his tracks. Then in the 12th it went back to Williams controlling the fight with his machine gun style. Honestly I don't see how Marg won, if anything it could have been a draw, but I still felt Williams won.

How do you score 5 rounds for Margarito, did you know Williams landed more punches in 10 out of the 12 rounds.

yeah williams was the more active at pit pattin....he landed some good uppercuts throughout the fight but the majority was pit pat and hug.....still for his activity i gave him the nod 7-5.....
