On the point of him being black, I'm not saying it as a racist but merely as a statement that black people don't tend to follow their fighters like other ethnicities out there (Pinoys, Mexicans, Brits, Puerto Ricans). Most PPV buys come from the base the fighter has, unless he's an exceptional name like Mosley, PBF, and ODLH. Other great fighters out there do not have the drawing power of these fighters because they're born as black-Americans. Case in point: Jermain Taylor. He's beaten BHop twice and tied with Winky but his PPV numbers, and attendance outside of his home-town vecinity, are very low. The same goes with Cory Spinks.
If Williams were Mexican, British, or even a Pinoy, he'd have four times as many followers wanting him to fight the bigger names. He's lucky he got a fight with Margarito to begin with (which I think should've vacated his WBO strap and fought Cotto straight on).
