Exactly. Welter Skelter said Floyd ducked him cuz his style posed problems, well, they would've said the same had he fought Tony instead of Baldomir. They would use Baldomir's fight against Judah as an example of how he would beat Floyd with his relentless pressure. Also, he would be even more critized had he fought Tony instead of Baldy, because Baldy was the true champ.

floyd vs. hatton = ducked cotto
floyd vs. margarito = ducked baldomir and mosley
floyd vs. cotto = ducked hatton
floyd vs. oscar = ducked margarito
floyd vs. ANYONE FROM 130 TO 154 = ducked anyone he didn't fight

A-HA!! now i see, u guys were right after all!!! how could i have missed that...
This is precisely why it's best to ignore the haters. You explained it perfectly. If he fights SOMEONE its because he ducked SOMEBODY ELSE.

Mitchell was a tune up for 147. That was his first fight at 147. Then everyone wanted to see Mayweather-Judah. Judah is better than Margarito anyway.

I'd say little risk, little reward. He would have outboxed Margarito over 12 rounds and everyone would've said Margarito was overhyped and was too slow(sounds like Baldomir).

Margaritos never even made 2 millon for one fight, so I dont see how floyd would get 8 million to fight margarito, he only gets like 50k PPV buys a fight.

Does somebody need to explain contracts to you... Simply if I guarantee you 8mil for services and its signed in the contract as such. There are no escape clauses or anything that supercedes my guarantee for your services for 8mil. If you provide the service as requested, I have to pay 8mil as stipulated in the contract. Otherwise I could find my self in an actionable predicament.

On another note. Floyd ducked Margarito. The offer was made during the postfight interview for the Judah fight. Arum stated that the Margarito fight could be held on July 7th(if memory serves). Mayweather said "if it makes dollars it makes sense." Later that week the dollars were on the table. 8million of them.

BALDOMIR was not even in the conversation. Baldomir/Gatti was signed in May. So all you idiots who keep on saying he fought Baldomir instead, are just blowing smoke. Floyd had no dance partner last summer. Baldomir fought Gatti in late July. Talks didnt start between Mayweather/Baldomir until about September. Tony started talks with Clottey in August because it was clear Mayweather ducked him. The fight could have been made in the July/August/September time period.

If Floyd wanted Baldomir that badly, he still could have made that fight as well for November. If he would have beaten, "Easy work," Margarito he probably would have commanded a bigger purse for Baldomir. Then to top it off he STILL could have gotten the DLH fight. No way around it, he ducked Tony.

no man you got it wrong. you see mayweaher told margarito to his face that he would get his opportunity for a fight. the opportunity should have come after judah lost to baldomir. i would not say its a duck if judah lost to that journeyman baldomir and then floyd said he aint worth the time anymore and went after margarito. and anyway all it really comes down to is money. floyd is all about making dollars and margarito brought the biggest payday. why turn down your biggest payday for a fight that is suppose to be "little risk little reward" like some fool said.
