There is absolutley no reason why Mayweather should have fought him. To quote Floyd, "Whos Antonio Margarito?" I think hes a good fighter, but at that time all he had fought was a green Cintron and 6 heads Lewis. Who is he to all of a sudden say he's ready for the p4p king?

Fight with Judah was already SET before the Baldomir-Judah fight. Mayweather either could have backed out or fought Baldomir. I think he made the right fight. And as to the original topic in this thread professional fighter (for the overwhelming most part) do not duck other fighters. If Mayweather ducked him then so did Winky Wright (and I think Winky would easily dismantle Margarito moreso than Mayweather). Sometimes fighters do what is best for their career and not what is best for the public...unfortunate but real.

In my opinion I dont care when he fights them as long as he does. If Floyd fights all of the top contenders, he's going to make more money than he would have if he fought them back in 2005. If your boy Margarito keeps winning then he fight Floyd for a much bigger purse. If I was Floyd, Mosley, Hatton, Cotto, or Williams I would be happy with the way things played out so far. Floyd’s name is much bigger than it was then. Remember boxing is a business even if we hate it as fans.
