margarito is still underrated, its funny. hes gonna punish the punisher...i like paul but margarito is a beast, hes mean..hes too strong and too physically tough for paul williams right now. thats the single aspect in this fight that will determine it. throw everything else out the window, margarito is tougher then paul williams and will beat him

      What I think...

I will say Margarito seems to have a tough beard. He's taken some hard shots from Clottey and others. And he looks to go the distance.

But, based on the Clottey fight, Marg looks to be easy to hit. He did look slow against Clottey, and that's even with a hurt Clottey.

Paul's record is about the same as Marg's, with the exception of Marg's 4 losses.

I haven't seen much of Paul fighting, to be honest. And if Marg did go into the Clottey fight hurt, then maybe, it'll be a long night for Paul if Marg is 100%.

If Paul brings some speed and power to the ring, and doesn't get careless, I think it'll end in decision for Paul.

This will be a huge test for Margarito both in class and style. I believe this is a much tougher fight than Judah was for Cotto simply because williams is undefeated and a guy who can cause serious problems for fighters simply with his size and strength.

I hope Margarito wins so we can see Cotto vs Margarito, a fight alot fo fight fans have been waiting for.
i've been impressed with margarito, just the volume of punches thrown per round and the high intensity that's all, shows no fatigue what so ever,
this guy is always in great shape

True dat. I just saw a promo for Paul, and I want to add that Paul throws accurate punches and in combos. And seems to have a sturdy chin.

No tellin' how long Paul can keep the pace for 12 rds in that fashion.

Looks to me like it's going to be a war in there with the better man pulling off a tough fight.

Should be worth watching. No doubt.

You guys (especially all 4 of you Margarito fans) are getting way to hyped for this fight. Have fun with your fantasy that Margarito is a beast because no matter how he does this weekend he's still gonna be no better than the 4th best Welterweight. If he beats Williams, which even I think he will (lord knows he should), you guys better enjoy EVERY minute of it until his fight with Cotto cuz its gonna be a massacre when Cotto gets in with him.

comon, no one in the WW division will massacre margarito. and i give margarito a great chance against cotto, his chin is iron + he throws a ton of heavy punches and never gets tired. hes also stronger then cotto. margarito isnt my favorite fighter but its not hard to see why he is a tough fighter

To me Margarito is an average fighter ability wise and doesn't show much variation in his game, but he has a great will and that could mean a lot. I still feel Williams will beat him, but a KO might not happen because just how much heart Margarito has.

I think Paul wins this fight with his reach and slick, aggressive punching style. He will wow the judges more than Margarito. I don't believe Margarito will be knocked out, but he will be beaten up.

I see Williams winning this thing. Margarito has a beard but is to hittable. Also Tijuana Margarito is NOT the underdog in this fight. The betting lines have Margarito as the favorite.

Thats the reason why I'll probably put $500 on Williams to win. I'll also take about 20k points on Williams if anyone wants to take that action.

the people who are not afriad to put there hard earned money on the line know that margarito will destroy williams and thats why hes the betting favorite. on boxingscene he is the underdog though but these cowards like floydfan90 are afraid to back up there words.
