I saw this because he's beaten a heavy hitting undefeated good fighter in sam peter, beaten a long reigning hw champ chris bryd, he ko'd calvin brock who was undefeated, i'll forget about austin as it was a mismatch and he then ko'd a dangerous puncher who'd previously ko'd him. So do you think he'll eventually become p4p if he beats another champ or unifys the division.

    should be in top 10;

If Lennox Lewis could dominate the HW division, unify all the titles, and still not be considered a P4P level fighter, then I don't know how Wlad ever could...

The term P4P was invented to encompass ALL WEIGHTS LOWER THAN HEAVYWEIGHT because it is the supreme weight class........and more specifically it was created solely because of Sugar Ray Robinson.

Someone said "How do you think he'd fare against a heavyweight" and the other person said "I don't know but let's call it Pound for Pound".

Call Yogi, he'll explain this more in detail.
Well, I don't think people look at it that way anymore. P4P is just a list of the top 10 boxers regardless of weight. At least that's how it should be looked at. If anyone needs exposure these days, it's the HWs, not the lower weight classes...

You can say Wlad is the best HW (actually i agree with that), and that he has very nice orthodox style. But p4p doesn't apply because you have have 10, 20, 300 pounds different between fighters. While it's not Wlad fault he has a beautiful physic and a good skill level (i think orthodox and correct suits him better) he would not be clearly as dominant (left jab KOs, almost not being hit while having a not so spetacular footwork) as he is today. And most importantly, it's not fair for the other weight categories who have to compete with fighters who are in most cases their exact matches in bodyweight, at least at the weight in.

Oh yes it means Draculla writen backwards, i'm the count (not the duke, please)

Im sorry but when I look at all the talent in many of the weight classes.. I dont see wlad at top 10. But he could crack it if he dominates for years to come..

and Brooklyn Bomber.. on your jones comment.. didnt you listen to the lyrics?? " I just make em LOOK like nobody "

no one dominated like him in the ring, he fought whoever was the top dawg in his division at the time and dominated to a ridiculous degree..

i don't ever see wlad being #1 p4p, but if he unifies the division and cleans out the division, then u have to give him respect... some may disagree but if wlad handles business he should definitely be p4p

This is the ring mag current (i think) p4p. i dont particularly agree with the order or the exact content, but that's not the point.

the point is would you pick wlad against a 240 pounds version of any of the following fighters? I would not.

                    1 Floyd Mayweather
                    2 Manny Pacquiao
                    3 Rafael Márquez
                    4 Juan Manuel Márquez
                    5 Winky Wright
                    6 Bernard Hopkins
                    7 Joe Calzaghe
                    8 Ricky Hatton
                    9 Marco Antonio Barrera
                    10 Miguel Cotto

I know it's not their fault, I'm just not ready to crown them P4P or up there with the all time greats as some in this forum would like to.
I kinda understand what your saying but, you answered my question for me who have, they fought/beaten they've beaten elite level journeymen former and future champs, from Mercer to Brock to Peter, these are the guys that the HW division has to live on, and who Wlad has disposed of, im sure if there was a Tyson like figure or Lennox Lewis still in the division either Klit would fight them graciously but because there isnt they have to fight whos there, whether it be Lamon Brewster, Ray Austin or Chris Byrd... The fact is skill is based on talent not the name of your opponent!
