You're confusing being totally dominated by a superior technical fighter with being drugged.

he didnt beat ruiz. it was a no contest and toney couldnt beat any of these guys even on roids. peter was way out of shape in the first fight and still got the win and chageav,,,,ibragimov,,the klits and a few others are all better than ruiz and even peter in my opinion. as far as calling toney a middleweight,,,he couldnt get under 200 lbs anymore on a no food diet for a year

Oh, please - there were so many su****ious elements to that Lewis-Golota fight - and other Golota fights, too. We don't know the half of it.

Nobody knew where to find Golota before the fight. He disappeared. Then, right before it was scheduled to start, he freakin arrives in a cop car! then later he tells a story about how he went, on his own, to some quack doctor to inject his knee, and supposedly the injection went into his artery instead of his vein. None of this makes any sense at all. So I'm watching the fight on tv - and, unfortunately, I've been around a lot of drug addicts in my life, and the moment Golota walks out, stone cold, glassy eyed, the first thing i said, before anything happened, was, "He's been drugged."

he beat ruiz. toney was only taking the steroids to heal himself from serious injury. toney aint cut up man. no way in hell he was lifting weights or anything. he is a lazy **** with serious boxing skills. he beat peter in the first fight to. it was a robbery. and toney did come up from middleweight. i know he cant make the weight anymore but how many middleweights are holding there own at hw?? even roy jones moved back down after one fight and he would never fight a killer like peter. give toney some respect.

oh please,,,,,and he was taking steroids in his last fight soley becuase of injury? lol. steroids help your stamina immensely which explains why he got so much stronger in the second half of the ruiz fight. the first 6 rounds were very close. he didnt win that fight,,,nor did he win the frst peter fight and like I said...the klits..chageav...sultan and a few others are way better than ruiz the hugger

I think the heavyweight division is very weak today; maybe not the worst in history but it's pretty bad. The other thing I wanted to say is that I can't believe that some on here think VK is better or has better skills than Larry Holmes. If Larry Holmes was is his prime today he'd clean out the division pretty easily. He's probably the most underated heavy in history. He had one of the best jabs in boxing period & had good power. Holmes is about 6'3 but he had freakish long arms with a reach of about 81 inches.

I voted that the heavyweight division is average just because I can't stand polls where the author of the thread is arranging the poll to make a point. It is obvious that we are supposed to vote that it is a joke and it is the worst in history, when it probably isn't. I think it is at a downpoint, below average, not necessarily the worse ever. We don't really know how bad or good it is until the top guys all start fighting each other more regularly so we can assess there talent or lack of.

holmes had a very good jab but wasnt a big puncher and he was only around 209 lbs in his prime. the klits and lewis would have steam rolled him. too much strength and power. the holmes era was pathetically weak and he didnt beat anyone near there size skill and strength level
