I dont think ive ever seen castillo sitting back and waiting for someone to hit them with a potential opening, thus trying to launch quick counters. Hes a pressure fighter. Castillo may be a slow starter, but hes not gonna sit back and wait for a potential opening.
Funny, I'm pretty sure thats exactly what he did against corallas. Unless my eyes decieved me, he stayed close looking for the counter hook all night.Applying pressure and staying in the pocket are two different things. Castillo does not sit around. he is constantly trying to create openings in an attempt to exploit the opponents weakness. Case in point. Against Corrales he didn't really apply much pressure. What he did is stay in range and work off Corrales the whole fight, looking to catch him with the hook while Corrales was over extended.
No, Castillo is not a SLICK counterpuncher(I call em pot shotter) but he is more of a power counterpuncher looking to get leverage to hurt the opponent. Mayweather on the other hand is just trying to control the flow of the fight and keep the other man off him. There are different forms of counterpunching!!!

i agree castillo throws in the process but in a sense he is waiting to land that huge counter shot
how would you match a good pressure fighter with a poor defense up against a fighter with what most people consider has the best offensive and defensive skillset in boxing.
And call that a pickem fight?
lol.
First of all, I don't put stock in what alot of people think. Most people are basing their assumptions on limited knowledge of the sport. Honestly, I have never heard any logical arguement saying Mayweather has the best offense in the sport- Best defense however is accurate. In my opinion the important factors are as follows.
Mayweather doesn't stand a very good chance of stopping Hatton. Maybe cuts-but otherwise i think his only option is to outbox Hatton for the 12 rounds. Hatton has shown power to the body and the head. At any moment he can catch Floyd!
Mayweather has shown an increasing willingness to run his ass off if need be. I know your not gonna like that one, but damn, He gives new meaning to the word mobile. Hatton has a good left hook and he lunges with it. I can see mayweather high tailing it out of a corner and getting caught.
Again, Hatton has to get close and beat Mayweathers body. I think he can! The reason Oscar lost is he stopped pressing floyd around the 7th. Had he continued he would have won-that seems pretty clear in hindsight. Hatton is much more skilled than Oscar when it comes to applying pressure. I look for Hatton to make the body work count. Oscar just wailed like an ametuer-it was ineffective. Hatton will look to punish Mayweather to the body as it is his only chance. Mayweather will look to move(alot) and control the flow-as it is his only chance.
It's a freakin pickem fight man!
At this point I would just like to take a minute to say Larry Merchant is the greatest analyst in the history of the sport!

Lol. Seriously, i dont think so and there was no need for the long post,
Have you seen how easily Hatton cuts? yes mayweather can stop him, lol
Ill ignore the rubbish about how mayweather running is his only chance,
Im just gonna re ask my orginal question which exposes the lack of logic you claim you embody.
How can you call a fight between a boxer with probably the best offensive/defensive skill set in the world today, against a good pressure fighter who has a problem defending basic leads, a pickem fight?
Forget oscar and that crap about hatton catching floyd with a body shot as floyd is getting out a corner, lol, thats crap,
Think about the question, then re-think your logic.

Seriously man, I answered that question about aswell as any man could. Floyd is not the super human indestructable bad dressing super hero you make him out to be. It's simple(now pay attention) Hatton is unbeaten in 40 plus fights, he has power, stamina,a great body attack, and has never been seriously hurt!
Ofcourse your right-he has no chance!!! lol
If this fight goes down- you gonna look real silly! I can't wait to see this supposed blow out!

Now you Pay Attention, Hatton was hurt in the Tsysu fight, he said so in the post fight interview.
He was hurt by urango's body shots,
Collazo had him rocked.
And again your 'logic' fails you, just because i say its not pickem fight, you declare i say he has no chance lol.
Hatton has a chance, but its not a 50/50 chance, and thats why its a not a pick em fight, if this thread is still running tommorow i may post for about the 100th time, techincal reasons why its not a pickem fight, but right now i cant be bothered.

But yeah, you were wrong, again.
I love you man! Don't ever leave that magical land you live in. It must be very warm and fuzzy there.
On fight night i'll count how many have it a pickem fight. I bet the bookies will give great odds. Hatton is a 3-1 underdog-god i hope so. If i'm lucky you are in the majority.
