Second, a fighter may box, or counter punch, or brawl. Most are good at one(one dimensional) some are good at two(not one dimensional) and a very few can do all three. Corrales could box, but what did he always end up doing? He fargin made a brawl out of it. Castillos was never a great boxer, he was exceptional at staying in the pocket and working off the other guy. Mayweather beat Castillo beacause Castillo could not box effectivly. When have you ever seen Castillo deviate from what he does best(just give me one fight?)

So Hatton just walks his opponents down? If you actually watched Hatton fight and understood boxing you would have already surmised why Hatton ends up clinching so much. He has a problem of over lunging when he attacks and he tries to attack from unorthodoxed angels which leads to his opponent flailing around in an attempted to stop the indside attack. I gaurentee you that it's an intergal part of any fightplan used by his opponents-why? Hatton does 99% of his damage on the inside! Mayweather will try to do the same. Don't blame Hatton for trying to wear down his opponent, It's part of the game!

Im sorry, but Tito Yucca is not somone thats strikes me as trying to get a point acrossed subtley!
    1) No castilo and hatton are not completely different stylistically, they both like to apply pressure, hatton is more skilled in offensive boxing basics, but castillo had a better defence in his prime, they both walk down fighters too so i dunno what your on about here.

    2) Hatton walks his opponents down alot, in the urango fight he used a jab and boxed a bit, but yep, he walks his way in, and he gets hit an awful lot coming in with basic leads, which is one of the main reasons i dont fancy his chances against mayweather and one of the main reasons he has problems with slick fighters, collzao could have stopped him if there was another round to go in that fight.

    3) I still dont know how you think a guy who has serious defensive problems with right hand leads in particular is going to knock out the best defensive fighter in the sport, with argue ably the best right hand in the sport.

And thats just a few of miscalculations in your fight plan, but its your opinion, Hatton TKO mayweather RD10

And tito was criticising canda joe for calling your post 'accurate' when it was anything but. So the point was not suttle.

Thanks man! It kills me how people lack a basic understanding of the game and yet find a way to accuse others of ignorance.

      It is the unfreakinbelievable!

        Really?

        NO

Lol, he is a pressure fighter, hitting someone with a counter punch and being a counterpuncher are two different things,

I need to watch alot more of his fights, but this guy aint a counter puncher,

Mayweather, Toney, thats a counter puncher.

        lol.

          1. we just disagree her then!

          2. I think your definition of walking down and mine are completly different. Marciano walked opponents down, Hatton closes distance by skipping in and bouncing around.

          3. That guy also has a devastating body attack, a solid chin, and good stamina. Match that against a feather fisted boxer and it's a 50/50 split on the outcome. I have no idea what you are basing the " argueably best right hand in the sport?" Why because he can connect with it? lol

Sounds like you will be betting the farm on Mayweather. GOOOOD, better odds for me!

No, Mayweather and Toney are just better counterpunchers!

Whatever dude, i dont agree with the points youv'e made, i dont think its a 50/50 fight, i dont see how anyone could ever call this a 50/50 fight especially when you consider Hatton's problems with slick fighters, im not saying he has no chance, but in hindsight, you cant give him a 50/50 chance.

I need to watch alot more of castillo, but in my opinion he is not a counterpuncher,

Infact, isnt that the reason why Hatton fans hold him as a beacon of hope for beating floyd?

Because Hatton and Castillo are both pressure fighters and castillo gave floyd trouble, so hatton will too.

Isnt that their theory in a nutshell?

Watch Castillo mayweather 1, the one people who never saw it claim castillo was robbed, he doesnt do much counterpunching in that fight. lol.

Im ok with all the rest, but I'm not speaking for hatton fans. I have never seen Castillo's preformance against Mayweather as an indicator of Hatton's chance at success. I think they are two different animals-How could I?

Styles make fights! hatton has a style that has proven effective against everyone he has every faced. The same can be said for Mayweather. Both are unbeaten and both have had contraversial decisions go their way. How could this be anything other than a pickem fight?

I dont think ive ever seen castillo sitting back and waiting for someone to hit them with a potential opening, thus trying to launch quick counters. Hes a pressure fighter. Castillo may be a slow starter, but hes not gonna sit back and wait for a potential opening.

                    If Styles make fights,

how would you match a good pressure fighter with a poor defense up against a fighter with what most people consider has the best offensive and defensive skillset in boxing.

And call that a pickem fight?

                    lol.

castillo stands toe to toe with you
but that doesnt make him a pressure fighter

he waits for you to open up and thats when he lands his biggest shots
