On the face of it Lyakhovich would appear to be a great opponent for Povetkin, as long as you believe that he is ready for big time boxing. Personally I don't think Povetkin is ever going to be any more ready than he is now. On the other hand I can't imagine why Lyakhovich's manager would accept this fight. Nothing to win and everything to lose.

That name's been quiet for the past year, but I agree. He's raw though. he could have forty fights before we see him in with the competition Povetkin will be looking at soon.

Denis Boytsov is fighting on the same card as Krasniqi vs. Thompson in Germany on July 14.

Opponent still TBA. Dimitrenko will be fighting on the card too, his opponent hasn't been decided yet either. Usually if they get someone on short notice, it won't be a very good opponent, just some poor clubfighter who badly needs the money.

That's the first not half bad post I've seen you make, Satori555. At least you respect how Sasha fights.

Povetkin-Lyakhovich is a main event - no way that fight would be on an undercard.

Also think Povetkin would have atleast another 2 or 3 bouts before facing a prime solid name like Lyakhovich.
If he's on the Taylor bout it will be a showcase fight against a solid journeyman.
