How is saying that W. Klitschko is the clear favorite in the HW division the overstatement of the year. He has only lost twice, hasn't lost in over years and has already beaten several of the other top fighters (Peter, Byrd, Brock). And I would favor him over the other title holders like Maskaev, Chagaev, or Ibragimov. Outside of these guys who is there...Rahman, Tua? I'm definitely not Klitschko's biggest fan in fact I don't like him very much at all but I really don't see anyway you can deny this.

My bad homie, I thought you mean Brester is the clear favorite. With a win Saturday he could become that again.

I misunderstood, I'll edit my post too.

your not saying mesi would expose pvetkin are you? mesi would get beat up. not that povetkin is a murderous puncher but mesi was vulnerable to even moderate punchers before his injury and is even more so now. I'd worry for his health. povetkin would stop mesi badly

serge would be a good fight for pvetkin. serge is hugely overrated becuase he beat a totally disinterseted lamon "up and down" brewster. brew would have finished him off had he been in better shape. povetkin would stop serge within 10 rounds. serge his very vulnerable to even a descent puncher thats in shape and can fight for 10 rounds

povetkins power is overrated he has mostly tko stoppages because he throws alot of punches, joe mesi would knock him out povetkin is a small heavy weight and once he faces a big strong heavy with speed and a good chin he will get knocked out, hes just another over hyped fighter

Well, we'll see in an year or two. I think Povetkin is much better than any American prospect, and will do very well, but Boystov is the one with superstar potential. Solis is also a potential champ.

lol,,you've got to be kidding me? I dont think pov is a real big puncher but he has more than enough even this early in his career to beat mesi. I think even donald at 40 is every bit as good as mesi right now

I dont like Povetkin, I also think he doesnt have much power. Watching his fights, and seeing the technique he is able to land with.... looks like any boxer would knock the other guy out throwing like that.

                  Just dont like the kid.

                    Why don't you like him?

                    - He's fought the best opposition in his first 13 fights that anyone has for a long time.
                    - He's won all his fights decisively.
                    - He's won most of his fights by KO or TKO.
                    - He won gold at the Olympics and in 11 other international tournaments.
                    - He only lost once as an amateur, and avenged that loss.
                    - He's never been knocked down, as a pro or as an amateur.
                    - He's a nice kid.

It seems to me there's lots to like about him!
