While I do think Mayweather would beat hatton handily, I definitely do not think he is stronger than hatton.

I remember seeing Hatton actually do heavy weight training, while i remember floyd saying he dont use weights.

Frank Warren's word is worthless. Fine.

And Ray Hatton admits declining the fight. And Greg Leon wrote an article about the multiple times Hatton turned down the fight. And Shawn Krest wrote a similar article for TigerBoxing. Kevin Iole wrote a similar article for the Review-Journal. All say that Hatton declined fight offers.

Apparently, all of these boxing writers and Hatton insiders have it all wrong. YOU have the real story. Congratulations.

No, your statement was that Hatton "fearfully" declined the fight and you then went on to post quotes from Ray Hatton and Frank Warren which seemingly proved this but in fact did nothing of the sort. I said that whatever reason the fight didn't happen it definitely wasn't fear but you have some how twisted into a dispute about the amount of times that the fight was on the table and apparently because 3 guys have wrote about it, probably getting information from similar sources, it apparently becomes gospel. As it happens I am privy to information about the possibility of a fight between them and my information was that discussions about the fight were made on at least one occasion but that there was reluctance on both sides to make the fight at that particular time.

Weights do not equal boxing strength. ...were Chavez and Duran pumping iron?

Also, there is a substantial difference between strength and punching power. Carlos Baldomir is strong. He doesn't necessarily have alot of punching power.

Kostya Tszyu has three fights in three years leading up to the Hatton fight: tackie , Leija and Mitchell. And hasn't fought since.

Oscar Delahoya had three fights in three years leading up to the FMJ fight: Sturm, Hopkins and Mayorga.

BTW, Please say how "over the hill" Oscar is. Because Hatton wants an Oscar fight. So PLEASE say how ODLH is over-the-hill.

Why are you asking me how over-the-hill De La Hoya is as if I have said he was? I haven't said that, I merely pointed out that there was a greater difference in time between De La Hoya fighting Mayorga and Mayweather than there was between Tszyu fghting Mitchell and Hatton. I dont subscribe to the notion that either De La Hoya or Tszyu were over-the-hill when they fought Mayweather and Hatton respectively. While it could not be argued that either boxer was in their prime, both men put up valiant efforts in the fights and I don't think many people would have been able to live with Hatton that night.
