Did Douglass expose Mike Tyson's stamina problem? Mike was never that good when fights went the distance

Look at that! that is way more than 10 seconds, just look at the video time at the bottom. Douglas was down for about 16 seconds.
the ref's in douglas was waiting for 9 i am certain he could have got up sooner if he felt he needed to

Why penalize Douglas for the refs slowness?
Agreed. Douglass was well aware of the count, though the ref did count su****iously slow.

Had it been early in the round, Tyson might've won.

The rules of boxing clearly state that the count is countewd in seconds and after timing it with my stopwatch umpteen times it was clearly **** on 14 seconds when he got up to his feet again.

He was lying on his side during the count and looked ****ed and there was probably no way he could have made it up before a genuine 10 count but to be honestTyson fought crap that night and his corner were even worse (the cracks were already starting to show with regards to Mikes personal life before this fight and his corner coming into the arena only semi equipped didnt help)

Douglas fought a great fight but you can bet your bottom dollar that had a rematch took place Tyson would still have been a huuuuuuuge favorite

In my opinion Tyson would have lost his next fight anyway even if he had KO'd Douglas with that upper cut.

When do the count start? I counted when Douglas was on the floor. I counted about 13 seconds when he fully got up.

Buster might be aware of the count but he surely was hurt/daze even when he got up. The fight should have ended even before he stood up. It was about 12 seconds before he fully got up.

The thing makes people so angry about it is because Douglass was lucky. Lucky that the damn bell rung right before Tyson could lay a hand on him. I mean that was Tyson's only chance to win that fight, and too bad for him it was at the end of the round. Had it been earlier in the round i think Tyson would have finished Douglass because Douglass wasn't able to revocer fast from knockdowns, and he looked like **** when he got up. But oh well, Tyson learned a hard lesson that night. Come in prepared.
