Look at that! that is way more than 10 seconds, just look at the video time at the bottom. Douglas was down for about 16 seconds.

Moot. Douglas was listening to the Ref, not the man with the gloves on the side doing the real count. Refs make mistakes....it's not Douglas's fault for listening to the ref.

Exactly, Douglas was FINE. He could have been on his feet at three

The ten count is rarely ten seconds. The ref counts at a certain pace which the fighter listens too. Douglas was cleary with it as he listened and was up at nine. He started beating on Tyson again and by round ten it was Tyson that was counted out.
Why penalize Douglas for the refs slowness?

Sandro your right I think they should DQ Douglas.

You sound like me when I was 9 years old.

It's never too late. You should start an appeal. Please stop trying to take something away from Douglas, it was one or if not the biggest upsets in sporting history. I'll always have respect for Douglas, not matter what became of him after that fight.

Did the ref count any faster when Tyson went down? I think not

He could have counted to 40 and the churchbells would still have been ringing in his head.
