Why is Floyd so terrified of fighting in England?

It's not just about Floyd, it's kind of a general question.

Why would Oscar offer to come over, like he just has?

Oscar knows and understands the historical significance of having these international, big fights. He says he wants to be remembered as a great and probably looks at fighting in England as an honor not an inconvenience,,,,, of course it also makes for good exposure for GBP.

as far as judging it's **** all over the world, doesn't really matter if it's in the US, UK, or anywhere, a paid off judge is a paid off judge. same with the referee......


floyd or hatton shouldn't let the judges even come close to deciding the outcome of the fight.

the only thing i want for this fight is a ref that will actually ref the fight and not let hatton get away with all the fouls that he commits. i like rough and tough fighters but fair is fair. cortez was letting hatton foul all fight long but as soon as castillo did something, he would hand castillo a warning and eventually taking a point away.

my thing is this, call the fouls the same on either side, thats all we can ask for when it comes to a ref..................


but as for the fight being in the UK, it shouldn't matter where it is, there is a score to settle, plain and simple.

yes it was painfully obvious that ****sucker Cortez was giving a greenlight to HAtton as far as the grapples and forearms were going. I like Steve Smoger,,great ref!

One reason is theres no money in fights in Manilla's or Jungles. What happened when Hagler.Minter fought? Did Hagler fight there again?

SRR fought Turpin the 1st time and lost in England...fought the rematch here and won. Next and last time he fought there he lost too.

Hagler v Minter was disgusting, and a one-off, and there's been similar incidents on US soil on more than one occasion.

There was no controversy in the SRR fight that I'm aware of. Ali got away with murder in the first Cooper fight and fought over here 3 or 4 times.

PPV figures only have recent relevance, they don't give any comparison to fights 20 years ago. There's only 1 active fighter who can generate PPV numbers approaching that of what several fighters were getting 10-15 years ago. That sounds like a decline to me, kid. Modern day live attendances are generally **** in comparison too.
