There all southpaws. We all know Taylor isnt the most coordinated guy in the sport and seems to have a pretty low IQ. That kind of stuff throws him off all day. Pavlik is orthodox and will be right in front of him the whole time. He's by far easier to land on then all those guys and Taylor can see his punches much easier and will know how to defend them better. Wasnt Taylor's D good against Hopkins? But he got hit clean by those other guys. Its because they were southpaws. Taylor will eat that **** up
I agree some of it was because they were southpaws, but SPINKS DID rock Taylor. I think it was round 7, where Taylor thought he hurt Spinks and spinks landed a hard right hand.

Taylor was wobbled and shaky on his legs for a second.

Anyhow, taylor has never felt effective pressure, and because he has a low ring IQ like you say, how do think he figures that out.

And Taylor had a nifty defense against Hopkins, but hopkins threw 10 punches a round.

pavlik throws near a 100 punches a round.

Taylor isnt that slick, and i think Pavlik finds his target more times then he doesnt.

I think this is a real barn burner of a fight here, one that Taylor will probably dominate late in the fight.

I see Taylor winning a close buy very clear UD, but im definetly not counting Pavlik out of the fight at all

Spinks did stun him some and thats why Taylor never rushed him like people wanted too. He was so frustrated and scared that he was going to get hit by that blind punch all the time. That goes to his lack off coordination and IQ but also because he was facing a slick Southpaw.

All Im saying is that because Taylor has all those flaws, he likes to fight guys who are just going to bring the fight to him and be right in front of him. He doesnt want to have to chase guys, or know how to defend himself against a southpaw, or figure out how to get off a punch. Pavlik's pressure may give him problems but I honestly believe that he is the kind of guy Taylor wants. Pavlik is good but his style is simple. That way Taylor can just fight. It will be toe to toe and the best man will win. I think Taylor wins due to his experince in big fights, his advantage in speed, and I honeslty believe that Taylor has very similar power if not more. The differnce is that Pavlik has good coordination and knows how to throw his punches but Taylor is basically just winning off of pure ablility. He doesnt really know how to fight that well. He's just a freak when it comes to size, speed, & power. Thats why I think Pavlik is just simple enough for him.

Its like this. There may be 2 fighters. 1 is a beast like Pavlik and the other guy is sort of a bum. Pavlik may fight that guy and kill him but I think Taylor may kill Pavlik and struggle with the bum if the bum has any kind of weird style. Taylor is just different that way and I dont think any trainer can really help him much with that but Id rather see him get his other trainer back

I generally agree with you and think Taylor will win but have you watched Pavlik. I was doubting him coming into his fight against Miranda because I saw him struggle early against Bronco McKart. But he had a plan and he executed that plan to perfection. Clearly Taylor is no Winky Wright, Floyd Mayweather, or Bernard Hopkins so what if Pavlik figures out a way to exploit JT's weaknesses. Again I definitely favor the champ but Pavlik has impressed me so far.

Miranda stood in front of him and he really lacks defense. Im not putting down his win but, if you compare that to a moving Taylor that sticks out the jab it will be very difficult to get in. He has a chance to tire Taylor early on with body shots but, I doubt he can get enough in to cause an effect

And what I am saying is that Pavlik employed a certain style to fight a certain fighter in this case Miranda. If you have watched Pavlik he surely always comes forward but he varies his attack plan from fighter to fighter that is all I am saying.

And they say boxing is dying....puhlease. I'm glad this is happening and Taylor should wipe the floor with pavlik and the overhypeness that has been going on lately. Pavlik is just too slow in hand and foot to beat Taylor in my opinion.

Pavlik is a very nice boxer with descent power, but i believe Jermaine Taylors athletisicm and sheer boxing knowledge alone wins him sthe fight.

i love how a lot of u forget so easy. Remember taylor at the press conference before the spinks fight. remember all that fire and passion he was displaying and how he was going to kill his opponent and blah blah blah. what happend, he didnt fight. he's just saying that **** to sell tickets. The only reason he'd be taking this fight with pavlik is cuz the other guys he wants to face are busy fighting other ppl. Taylor is good enough to win, but dont expect him to come out like he has something to prove. the man is in it for the money not the respect.
