Jermain Taylor: "I'm going to expose Kelly Pavlik"

I told everyone that they were going way too Pavlik crazy after that fight and I said that he is made for Taylor. I also said it was completely unfair to play Taylor like he is some punk who doesnt fight guys. He just had 3 straight fights with Hopkins & Winky. He deserved 2 fights off and its not like he was fighting bums. It was totally clasless what Merchant did to Taylor and I cant believe you guys backed him up. He totally twisted what Taylor was saying and tried to make him look like a punk on TV when this guy clearly isnt scared of anyone. There was no way in the world that Taylor was going to fight a small guy. He had narrowed the list down to Pavlik, Winky, & Calzaghe and he was going to fight whichever guy brought the most money. What the hell is wrong with that? He's scared of Pavlik but willing to move up and fight Calzaghe? I swear I dont understand people on here sometimes.

The money didnt work out with Calzaghe & Winky so he's fighting Pavlik and it had nothing to do with what anyone else said. He was going to fight him anyway. Like he has doged alot of people and like Miranda was so special that Taylor had to be so scared of what Pavlik did to him? Thats a joke. He wants Pavlik probally more then anyone because Pavlik is the easiest style fight for him. He doesnt want to face those boxers. He wants to fight a guy who will stand in front of him and go toe to toe with him. Pavlik is going to get KTFO

Pavliks style is no where NEAR tailor made for JERMAIN TAYLOR. If anything, style wise, its the worst possible style for Taylor.

Taylor always fights backwards, has never faced a swarmer like Pavlik, has never faces a puncher like Pavlik, and hes never faced a guy who throws anywhere near 100 punches a round like Pavlik does.

The closest fighter TAYLOR has faced to PAVLIK is OUMA, and that wasnt the real OUMA. Ouma threw a rediculously low amount of shots for him, and applyed ineffective pressure the entire fight.

And if anybody gets knockedout in this fight, its Jermain Taylor. Taylor was rocked by CORY SPINKS and buzzed by WINKY WRIGHT!!!!! Pavlik hits 20 times harder then either of them, and will throw almost 40 more shots a round then Winky did in there fight.

And Pavlik ate MASSIVE shots from one of the hardest punchers in the sport, EDISON MIRANDA.

I could see Taylor giving Pavlik massive problems though. Cause he ties up on the inside and Pavlik isnt a great body puncher. The jab could be the key to this fight for taylor

It's wierd b/c I like Taylor for the fact he will fight anyone anytime but I hate the fact that he acts like he has so much power but don't really KO any big name boxers???? But he fights real fights unlike other boxers who want to be recognized as the best pound for pound!!!!

I honestly do. I like Pavlik but when you have a great performance people forget all the negatives. Pavlik has mad power but he looked super slow in that fight and his chin still wasnt all that great. He was hurt a few times in that fight, his nose was busted, and I think Miranda's power is so overrated because of the way he punches. Its like he was just slapping Pavlik the whole fight. Pavlik also has no D. It wouldve looked totally different against Taylor. He will fight Taylor the same exact way and that is walking him down which Taylor would welcome so he can counter. His superior speed will allow him to get off all fight, Pavlik wont really try to even put up a D, and I think Taylor has very underrated power.

I think Pavlik is good but just a more skilled version of Margarito. I think Miranda was always a joke and people give him too much credit for that win. Miranda is a solid guy but he looks exactly like a black Mayorga. He fights just like him. He'll never come close to beating a top guy unless he faces a scared guy like Mayorga did against Vernon. That was at lower weights though and Miranda is moving up. He wont be stronger like everyone thinks. The boys at 168 will be bigger & stronger and his power wont be nearly as much. He was overrated and made for Pavlik just like Mayorga was made for Oscar

Yea he couldnt even hurt smaller guys. He laned many flush shots on Spinks and Ouma and Wright, and never hurt any of them.

Very talented fighter though, but he overrates himself in some areas

Let's not forget Taylor already beat him in the amateurs, sure the amateurs aren't the pros, but skill is more important than power in the amateurs which would point to better skills for Taylor, they both have power so that's negated. A W is still a W, so to say he hasn't seen anything like Pavlik is a totally false because he has already beat the man.

well its not like Pavlik struggled with Miranda. He dominated the fight and knocked out the guy many percieved as unknockoutable.

I agree that Miranda was tailor made for Pavlik, but Pavlik isnt tailor made for Taylor.

Pavlik is gonna expose a lot of Taylors openings and gaps. Even if he loses or gets dominated, he has the type of very effective pressure style that probably WILL give Taylor a lot of trouble early in the fight

Read my other response down bottom. Also, I disagree with you. He didnt get hurt as you say. Those guys never hurt him at all. There is also one thing you forgot to mention about all those guys. There all southpaws. We all know Taylor isnt the most coordinated guy in the sport and seems to have a pretty low IQ. That kind of stuff throws him off all day. Pavlik is orthodox and will be right in front of him the whole time. He's by far easier to land on then all those guys and Taylor can see his punches much easier and will know how to defend them better. Wasnt Taylor's D good against Hopkins? But he got hit clean by those other guys. Its because they were southpaws. Taylor will eat that **** up

He's on the rise? Who has he beat of significance? Taylor's looked bad because of the style matchups, he will look VERY good while beating up on Pavlik.
