Taylor will definitely win this fight. Pavlik may be a powerful puncher but he's sloppy. Only way he beat Miranda cause he had a little more boxing ability than him. Thats not gonna be the case in this fight. Taylor is the better boxer. You can be a big puncher but if you encounter someone that can really box and get around your big punches your in big trouble. I say Taylor wins by UD. When he wins I wonder what excuse people are gonna give.

I agree with you and I am with Taylor on something for once. I am one of the dissenters who believes he lost all three fights against Hopkins x2 and Winky, but I think he will beat Pavlik in a great fight...and then hopefully fight Tito in January!

Thats all Taylor needs to do is start punching the body and he might turn out to be something... He is such a headhunter and with his wide and long body he could punish people to the body.

Image those huge shots on Wright's gloves instead focused on the sides of Pavlik's body... He would be a larger more powerful Cotto.

Pavlik will win this... Taylor doesn't have the knockout ability, especially with Pavlik's chin. Even if Pavlik doesn't knock him out, he will still hit Taylor with enough shots to win rounds. Taylor will be trying to dodge out of the way but his body is exposed and Pavlik likes to body punch when need be.

I told everyone that they were going way too Pavlik crazy after that fight and I said that he is made for Taylor. I also said it was completely unfair to play Taylor like he is some punk who doesnt fight guys. He just had 3 straight fights with Hopkins & Winky. He deserved 2 fights off and its not like he was fighting bums. It was totally clasless what Merchant did to Taylor and I cant believe you guys backed him up. He totally twisted what Taylor was saying and tried to make him look like a punk on TV when this guy clearly isnt scared of anyone. There was no way in the world that Taylor was going to fight a small guy. He had narrowed the list down to Pavlik, Winky, & Calzaghe and he was going to fight whichever guy brought the most money. What the hell is wrong with that? He's scared of Pavlik but willing to move up and fight Calzaghe? I swear I dont understand people on here sometimes.

He's not going to fight like he did w/spinks because spinks wasnt in his face, he was always moving. Pavlik is gonna be right there, throwing bombs, using his jab. Taylor is gonna probably fight Pavlik the way he fought Winky. Should be a great and "free" fight.

Would you care to explain how sloppy Pavlik is? I really don't recall Pavlik being sloppy.

I don't know what will happen in this fight but I know it will be a GOOD fight. Should be all action, JT is at his best when he is fighting guys that come forward and are open to be hit. On the other hand if we take Kassim Ouma as an example, Taylor was not able to knock him out and I think Pavlik brings a heavier punch and at least close to as good of a chin. Frankly I was very impressed with Pavlik's last performance BUT more with his approach. He obviously is an intelligent fighter and maybe he will have a plan for Taylor. Anyhow I am not counting Taylor out by any means and at this point make him the clear but not overwhelming favorite.
