    Desperate? Certainly not.

Motivated? wellllll, "three offers" answers that question.

I doubt very many Mayweather suppporters will travel to the UK. In effect he'll have to fight Hatton and his wrestling tactics, the refs who support his hug and punch style and 60,000 rabid fans. Floyd aint crazy. I don't see this fight happening in the UK.
Its either 60,000 rabid hatton fans in the UK or 20,000 rabid Hatton fans in the US, might as well go with the money.

Put it like this. Mayweather's camp were pretty happy to put the fight on the backburner because they knew more money could be made down the line. The fact that discussions had taken place means nothing and certainly does not mean that Hatton ducked Floyd.

        • they dont have to go to england to
make money. as you seen the last
few hatton fights his peoples come out
to see him fight. if 11000 came to see him fight
castillo im pretty sure 15 would come to pack
vegas. and floyd would bring the rest. they will
sell the arena out no problem. plus sell many ppvs

I would bet money that if the fight does take place it will happen in the UK.

            • You're right, if the fight gets made in the U.S, they will be invaded by Brits, they'll think the war of independance has come back. If the fight gets made I can see 20,000 turning up from the UK, alot won't get tickets but would go there for the atmosphere. I think British fans enjoy the trip, seeing there favourite fighter and having a great holiday at the time. Im certainly going to the next Hatton fight if its in the U.S.

Ducking someone is refusing point blank to fight them. Saying you will fight but not right now is not ducking but prudent business dealing and I think this term "3 offers" is a bit misleading. There were discussions, but 3 concrete offers? I'm not so sure. I also find it funny that Frank Warren suddenly lined up a number of big fights for Hatton as soon as they parted company after mucking about for years making promises of world title fights that he never delivered until the end.

I say Team Mayweather wont go abroad for any amount of money. Time will tell, but if you're so sure we can bet some points on it.
