Hatton will take a fight with Floyd. At this point he has put himself in a position where he may now get the opportunity he has been asking for so long. The money/venue issue will take some work but I feel both men want his fight. Hatton wants the payday and feels this he his chance to prove he is the pound for pound best. With De la Hoya no interested in a rematch Floyd wants to fight someone whos style he would be able to dominate. Hatton is pretty much taylor made for Mayweather. It would be a good fight to try to build up to a showdown with Mosley.

Hatton is in a win-win situation here. It won't hurt his name very much if he loses, because Mayweather is considered the best and are supposed to beat him.
However, for Mayweather the situation is alot more risky.
What will he gain by winning? What will happen if he loses?
Exactly.
If this fight happens, I hope somebody skull****s those who still claim he ducks people.
It's not so much that I like Mayweather, it's more that I hate the haters.Comment

a true champion would take that risk and mayweather has avoided this kind of risk his entire career. he will find a way to avoid fighting hatton and any other real fighter.Hatton is in a win-win situation here. I agree entirely, and i must say that your analogy about the "win/win" situation also worked with Hattons last fight with Castillo. I personally and alot of my fellow English boxing pals thought Hatton might get his first loss last weekend. But, even if Hatton had - he would have still been respected, loved and admired amongst British folk - and at the end of the day thats all Ricky cares about. His wallet and his fans. He has been and will always from now on be able to appease these two factors. He's cemented himself in English boxing legacy already.Hatton is in a win-win situation here. It won't hurt his name very much if he loses, because Mayweather is considered the best and are supposed to beat him.

As for the fight. I hope he fights Mayweather and wins. But if he doesn't - you won't catch any Hatton fans on here complaining for months on end about it. Alot of the American fans on NSB have no class, very poor losers.Comment

I love the way you make it sound as though a fight in Manchester will be heavily in Hatton's favour and that it would be fairer to fight in America.Comment
