People are forever looking for excuses to not rate Ricky Hatton. It's such a shame.

Hatton should have told little Maxie to **** himself, and I think he was on the verge of doing just that.

Haha if all the Man City Guvnors were there or the Salford Lads it wouldve went up lol theyd have had little Maxies head on a pole.

i know, but castillo never clinches and now in this fight he HAD to clinch because Hatton was all oveer the place, i do think Hattons vctory is quite immpressive and he is imo a good fighter, but his ****ing "i dont care for my opponent" style as long as i win and his hypocrite attitude makes me despise him....especially his style, i like to see a fair clean fight...you can say Castillo is not clean himself, and youre right, but hes no ****ing Hatton, Hatton is just surreal how much crap they let him get away with...........still Hatton's body shot was sick....Castillo has said it wasnt that hard but it was on the button and he couldnt even breathe...

i count this victory for Hatton as much as i count Pacman's victory over Morales....

Its difficult to tell how much of Castillo's defeat was due to ring wear and age, and how much credit Hatton deserves for a great performance.

All i know is Hatton desreves no critisicm.
            Credit where credit is due.

People should appreciate such a great body shot, and look forward to future Hatton fights against big names.

Jayzus, British hooligans are like coppers - when you really need them, they're not around!

I think Maxie's head would look good on a pole.

Castillo is a notorious slow-starter. He always looks slow and old in the beginning of his fights, so you guys can't say he was shot because he looked like it already when the fight started...

Nope, huge props for Hatton winning but Castillo was not gonna come on stronger.

Kellerman said the same thing you said in the 2nd round:

Kellerman: (IIRC) Castillo tends to get stronger as the fight goes on

Steward: Thats when he was younger, he looks like an old man to me tonight. I dont care what he did in the past, his legs are gone.

i'm not saying this in hindsight, i was saying this when the fight was first announced

the point of my post isn't to take away from hatton, i think hes a good fighter. the point is - the outcome was not surprising to me because i feel castillo was a shell of himself at this point.
The result wasnt suprising to me as well simply because ive always thought Hattn was the better fighter.
The bottom line is noone has done that to Castillo before Hatton. If he was shot he has been shot before Hatton got to him and noone has done that to Castillo. It takes someone like Hatton to do it.
