Saddest moments in boxing

I was watching the Legendary Nights for Chavez-Taylor, and Taylor's face when the fight was stopped...Man, I wanted to cry. Looked like he did too. Then they show Taylor in 2002, you can barely understand him...it's terrible. It got me thinking about other sad moments in boxing history.

-Ali-Holmes...Just the entire fight, the whole situation.

-Ali's current state...One of the greatest champions of all time, see him dancing around the ring, now he can barely walk.

-Tyson-Douglas...Beginning of the end for Tyson. Tyson scrambling for his mouthpiece makes you feel for the guy.

Dude I saw that same special on HBO and it really really kills me. To see the once articulate, proud athelete reduced to a barely understandable slurred speech is painful.

I will always hold that against Richard Steele. I really wish that Taylor at least had that win so that he could look back on that fight without feeling cheated.

Tyson-Douglas for sure. The seemingly invincinble Tyson gets his ass beat by a fringe contender. Pathetic how he had so much talent and potential and his career took a nose dive. Also, Bowe-Golota matches. Whats it with fighters from Brownsville, Bklyn and not living up to potential due to lazyiness and mental issues?

The first time I saw that i felt so sorry for taylor that fight runied his career.
He derserved that win every time i listen to richard steele reason for stopping it pisses me off. Of course he was hurt but he wasnt wobbling or anything I just taylor would of said Im allright, But he was distracted by lou talking to him. And that look on taylor face after the fight Im mean the saddest look ive ever seen.

Anytime a boxer dies in the ring.

You know, maybe it makes me cynical or inhumane or something, but I'm not nearly as saddened by a ring death as I am by something like Ali or Taylor. It might just be the way I am, but I would rather die than live the rest of my life extremely crippled or handicapped.

So when I see or hear about someone dying in the ring, I'm glad that they won't have to suffer through years or decades of daily punishment just from waking up in the morning and doing everyday tasks.
