Roger's main gameplan if Floyd is having trouble on the ropes is, 'Tie your man up'...With that element of their plan thrown to the wayside, what will he do to make up for it?

    2. If he were to fight Miguel, he would be going up against one of the best fighters to ever cut off the ring. Definately the best pressure fighter he's ever faced, and the best at cutting off the ring, would be Miguel Cotto. The fact that he's an expert at cutting off the ring, and un-clinchable, makes him a not-so-promising opponent. Floyd knows all this.

    3. Miguel is at his peak. This is the best version of him we've ever seen...

(Lowers gloves)Take ya best shot, flame away Mayweather huggers.

Cotto is the best pressure fighter, the best at cutting off the ring...you got to be kidding I hope. Cause malignaggi was getting out of the way and so was Judah before all the ball shots and his lack of throwing punches. The best at cutting off the ring, that's hilarious.

      Alright cort.

In your opinion, who cuts the ring off better than Miguel Cotto that is an active fighter today?

why else would he? cuz he doesnt wanna risk taking a loss. deep down he knows he CAN LOSE to Cotto, Mosley, Williams ,Margarito, Hatton, and anyone else. it CAN happen. he knows this so he figures to retire undefeated.

I think Miguel Cotto has the best shot of all the current fighters from 140-154 to beat Mayweather. I think you have some good reasons. I would love to see the fight. Remember, Mayweather is no Judah...

            Forget Floyd hes retired

Why don't we stop focusing on Mayweather and Cotto. Floyd is retired and the fight will never happen. So it seems that Floyd retired so he can stay undefeated. Oh well thats on him so why can't we just move on from that.

That's a good question...I like how Wright cut off the ring against Taylor, Hopkins is always good. Ouma pretty decent, actually Ouma and cotto are about equal. But I don't really know, Ima have to think about it.

Your post doesn't mean anything. What would you have said if I didn't have the MMA gifs? Ok then.

Wright and Hopkins aren't pressure fighters and Ouma is a volume puncher who's weaker than Cotto, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I definately do not agree. I thought you were going to say something along the lines of Paciauo or Darchinyan ;p

The thing is Cotto doesn't let you escape the corner. He hits hard enough to earn respect so his opponents tend to move away and not stand and trade. That's why he's adept at cutting it off because he's been doing it his whole career.

Well not yet but his haters are putting him up there. 4 out of 5 threads here feature Floyd Mayweather aka PBF (that's pretty boy floyd due to his style he was always "pretty" after his fights as an amateur and his american olympic collegues nicknamed him that). He lacks the number of fights to be Robinson great but he is/was the best of his era. His retirement at only 30 years old leaves quite a few boxing fans sad but if i was him i'd get tired pretty fast of having the media calling me out everytime a "cotto" uprises... I think cotto should look to win over his own generation. I don't recall anyone calling out other retired fights except for mayweather.
If he can beat cotto? Yes, definitely yes today, in 2 years, no. He'll be too old. So if the fight is to happen and if people really wanna see who is the best of the two (as if you already havent that figured out) instead of wanting to see mayweather ass kicked (99% of these people) the fight should happen now. Well, this pretty much says why the fight won't happen. Mayweather isnt 38-0 because he's dumb or his management sucks. But you never know. Should be retired Castillo will give it another go to see if he can't survive hatton. Yes because the fight is rigged. Everyone wants to see hatton score another win so who's better than 33year old battle weary castillo? This is the kind of fight i never pay to watch.
