Floyd is showing guts by fighting guys in weightclasses he doesn't really belong. Floyd stood with Oscar at times. You can't win a fight running all night. Spinks showed you that.

No, he's showing his business smarts by moving up to weight classes where his speed and agility are far superior to most of his opponents, and by keeping his conditioning to a level where he can afford to stay away from his opponents the entire 12 rounds.

True.....but once in a while a fighter should show some guts and adversity.....Floyd rarely does that.

Guys like floyd only show the "guts" your asking for when the other fighter forces him too. Pernell Whitaker only dug deep when he had to, Floyd does the same, if floyd is behind or is being told hes behind like in the castillo fight, he will stand in there, and he will fight, round 11 is a perfect example of this in their first fight.

Your idea of "guts" and "adversity" is simply a matter of slugging and taking punches. Seeing as how YOU are not in the ring taking punches, fighting with broken hands and such, its pretty shameful for you to say a pro boxer isnt showing that by getting in the ring in the first place, because even a boring runner like corey spinks is no ***** by any means.

Alot of you have no idea how style works, you want people to simply abandon what makes them good in the first place in favor of what YOU want to see, either way what your all really asking for is for floyd to lose, then hell gain your respect.

You are taking me a bit to literal.......Of course I have great respect for any man that steps in that ring,However if you choose that to be your job then you should entertain the fans.I really don't care so much about a fighters record as I do them letting it all hang out in the ring.Most of the time great fighters,great enteratiners in the ring have a handful of loses because they took chances and wanted to prove they are the best not just dance around and say "I'm undefeated"......but overall I hear what you are saying I just don't care for those types of fighters.Even Winky is far more exciting than Floyd at least he stands in there and fights bigger men.I will admit Floyd did'nt run as much as I thought he would against DLH and I think he very closely yet clearly won the fight.....I just wish he would have laid it all on the line like judah/Cotto did and Miranda/Pavlik did.....thats what fans want and thats what boxing needs not big mouth dancers.
